Argos - The Devil's Betting Shop!

Hello there people, well it's May already! I can't belive how this year is flying past!!!

Anyway well after i came back from my ski holiday not alot happened, work was just the usual stuff, i saw Rosey and Dan a couple of times but that was pretty much it! So i will skip straight ahead to last weekend. Kieron had invited round his good friend Alex and girlfriend Jade. We haven't seen Alex for sometime now as he is living in Rugby. They have two kids, Shannon (who i think is 2) and Teagon (who is about 9/10 months old!?!?!)

Seen as though the weather was gorgeous we decided we would do a Barbeque, only problem was we hadn't got a barbeque. So me and Kieron got up Saturday morning tidied up the flat ('cos it was a mess!!) and then headed off to Argos in Kings Heath. We only wanted a little thing (not one of these monstrosities that you can cook a whole cow on!) so that we could easily put it away in our shed. There was one for £25, very simple and basic but it came with a starter kit, all the utensils and a small bag of charcoal - brilliant we thought, so whilst Kieron filled in the little slip I decided to purchase some new garden furniture (nothing fancy just the standard white plastic 4 chairs and a table!). We waited for a bout 5 mins and all the stuff arrived at the collection point.

Kieron went back to get the van to save us trundling up Kings Heath high street, we picked up the food from Somerfield and headed off home.

It wasn't long after we arrived home that Kieron had paper, packaging and screwdrivers everywhere in the garden putting together all the stuff. The table went up no probs and the chairs were soon put out. But then came the fun part - the BBQ!!!

Within seconds, bits of BBQ were flying everywhere, and Kieron shouting his mouth off. Good old Argos had forgotten to put the bolts in that held the BBQ together - Clever!!! But luckily Kieron being an Engineer he has lots of screws and bolts in his van so off he went scrambling away like a squirrel on caffeine finding the correct size bolts. 20 minutes later he came (looking quite smug) with the bolts and in no time the BBQ was put together.

Not too long after that Alex, Jade and the Kids arrived. The BBQ was already underway, so we quickly showed them round the flat and we then went into the garden to start tucking into the grub. We had plenty of food, we had bought sausages, burgers, garlic and herb chicken pieces and chinese ribs, and Alex bought some BBQ sausage and more burgers (although his burgers were the size of a small dinner plate!!).

We had a great time, Kieron did a wonderful job of doing the food . We sat in the garden for ages just chatting away, but Alex and Jade decided to go as their little ones were getting tired. They left about 7 so me and Kieron cleared up (whilst watching Doctor Who!!).

For the rest of the evening we sat and watched telly.

Sunday was the usual, we went to Tesco's to do the shopping, we called in on Kieron's mum and dad for a bit as Kieron had some engineer manuals he needed for work. We got home put the shopping away and sat and watched War of the Worlds on DVD. A little bit later Gaz came round to pick me up so we could go to nan's.

And that was my weekend so see you next time
