We need more Bank Holiday Weekends!!!

Hello there people

Well last week at work, one of the partners (David) went on holiday, he has gone to Australia for 3 weeks to see his daughter. She went to Australia last July/August for a 1 year travelling experience and David and Diana have gone to visit her before she comes back home in the next couple of months.

So lucky for me i have been left in charge of all his stuff, i've been phoning Council's (that has not been fun!!), organising applications and drawings and all sorts of stuff that i've never done before. It's a nice feeling that someone trusts you to do all this yet it's nerve racking to think that if it all goes wrong - it is all my fault *gulps*!!

So last week was very busy at work, the phone didn't stop ringing, i was all over the place!!!! The week went very quickly, and before i knew it, it was Thursday. That evening i was meeting up with Rosey, Dan, Emily and Jim for a nice drink at the Heron's Nest. I had never been there before, so i was looking forward to it. Rosey came and picked me up about 7.30 and we slowly headed over to pick up Dan.

When then headed off to meet Jim and Emily. It is a nice little country pub, very peaceful although they could have had better lighting, as all we had was a candle, but it was all good. We found a table and Emily quickly spotted the dessert menu! Rosey and Em had cheesecake and i had a chocolate brownie, it was very delicious!!!

We had a good old natter, but before long the evening was nearly over. I was very tired by this point, so we headed off...... to Tescos!!

Yes it is a favourite past time of ours, we do love to mooch round Tesco in the evenings when there is nothing better to do. Mainly because you can look around all of the stuff without being pushed out of the way by grannies and parents with screaming children and also because you can always find a good bargain!!!!

We didn't stay long as i wanted to get back home, it was a good evening, and it was great to see Jim and Emily again (it has been awhile!!!).

Friday was very dull at work so i was deffiantely looking forward to 5pm. I had to leave ontime as me and Kieron were going to see Spiderman 3, we were both looking forward to it. So on my way back i picked up a chinese takeaway for quickness, got changed and we headed off. We were going to the 7.45pm showing at Rubry and we knew it would be busy so we wanted to get there fairly early 'cos we wanted a decent seat. We got our tickets and whilst Kieron was paying for the sweeties i went and joined the ulmighty queue. They had 2 screens for Spiderman 3 but neither of them were ready for people to in. So the queue was for both screens, and it was never ending. Luckily i had timed it right and i was just under a quarter of the way down the queue, but basically the line began to snake up and down the corridors before eventually it ended up in the main entrance where people were buying their tickets!!!

Kieron managed to find me, we waited another 10 mintues before a member of staff told us we could go in. Everybody started to run into the cinema so they could get a good seat, and we did, thanks to kieron!! We were in the middle halfway up, it was brilliant!!!

The film was really good (apart from the stupid ooh look i'm proud to be an American parts!!) and i am deffinatley looking forward to the 4th one!! We got home and just sat and watched tv for bit before going to bed.

Sunday was a slow day, we got up and tidied up the flat as we had a lady coming round from the Cat Protection Clinic, (Gareth if your reading this don't tell mum yet, keep as a little surprise!!) we went the other weekend to the clinic down Packhorse Lane, to arrange for a home visit. I thought she would be at the flat for ages poking her nose round and asking loads of questions, but i was wrong! She came in, asked us a couple of questions abouth the area then explained to us the process of everything and then left. Kieron cooked a lovely chicken sunday roast and we decided to watch some movies for the rest of the evening. It was good fun, we got some wine and we chose 2 films each and we sat and watched them. Kieron chose Matrix and Start Trek Nemesis and i chose 80 days around the world and Polar Express.

Bank Holiday Monday - i decided i was going to do sod all!!! Well i had had a busy week at work and i didn't feel like doing anything. I mainly sat and watched Kieron play the computer and it wasn't as dull as i thought it would, he was showing me how to play World of Warcraft and it is very good.

I had a good relaxing day which i think i deserved, so until next time cheerio!!!
