"...Delta squadron, do you read me? Over..."

Hello there fellow peeps,

Well you'll be glad to know that my bruises have finally gone after going Paintballing the other weekend.

Well last week not alot happened, work was the same so i will start with Thursday (as that is where the fun started!!) Kieron managed to finish work early, he got back to the flat for 4.30pm, he checked the post to find that our Bank statement had come through so this meant one thing....

..We could get our car!!! He quickly rang me, so i quickly organised with work and Carcraft that we would go down and get it (once and for all!!!)

Kieron picked me up after work and had already got the documents with him so we sped down the M5/6 . There was a little traffic but nothing Kieron couldn't deal with and we arrived just gone 6.30pm (impressive!).

We were soon greeted by Chris, our sales rep and he took us to the car. It was lovely, sitting there all shiny. We decided to take it for a test drive, it's very nippy, and i forgot that the brakes were a hell of alot better than my old fiesta, i came up to one junction and applied that brakes, the car stopped very quick and poor Chris' head nearly went through the windscreen!!!

We got back to the depot and we decided that we would have it. We were quickly introduced to Mark one of the finance guys, he went through all the legal and money side stuff and before we knew it, i had the keys in my hand!!

I followed Kieron back down the motorway. It took us about an hour to get back home. So we have our little car which is great, but it also means we've started arguing who drives it!!!

Friday work was the same but in the evening me, Kieron and Gareth went to see Oceans 13, i won't say too much incase some of you haven't seen it, but it was a fairly good film but i thought it was dragged on a bit!!!

We dropped Gaz home, and we went back to the flat and decided to go straight to bed.

Saturday was a good day, the morning really i spent doing some tidying up in the flat, i then went to mums in the afternoon, Gaz wasn't there 'cos he'd gone to Drayton Manor for the day. Kie came with me to mum's we had a nice couple of glasses of wine, but we had to head off as we had been invited over to Steve and Natalie's for the evening. We were all in the living room having a chat and a laugh, but we were all getting hungry so me and Nat dived into the car and went and fetched a chinese. I had sweet and sour chicken (cantonese style) with egg fried rice, Kieron had Chicken curry and Steve and Natalie had a combination of things, they had rice, dry spare ribs, and this lamb thingy which looked quite horrible.

It was a good night especially as we don't get to see Steve and Nat very much. But it was getting late and we decided to call it a night!

Sunday morning i was up bright and early (again!) as me, dad and Gareth were going to Cosford Airshow. We went many years ago so i knew what to expect. I was a bit dubious as i knew it would ahve a changed a bit but i still went along, and i'm glad i did 'cos it was a really good day out!

After the traffic people sending us a mega long way round and then went on a 3 mile drive to park the car, we arrived! We had a quick sarnie and drink and made our way towards the show area. It was getting packed with people really quick but we got a decent spot. We set up camp (well deckchairs) and waited for the start of the show.

The show was packed with stunts and tricks, but by early afternoon The Red Arrows made their appearance. Each plane/group only had about 20-25mins to perform, The Red Arrows were about 10mins into theirs, when the commentator had to announce that Air Traffic Control had detected a small craft flying through the airspace without pemission, so the Arrows had to disperse and get out of the way incase there was an accident it took about 5mins for the craft to be safely out of the way. We found out that it was a hanglider!!!!! Amazing.

The Arrows were about to return when they were stopped AGAIN!! Another craft was flying through, this time it was a normal air glider. By the time that moved, time had ran out so hte Arrows came back to do one last stunt and that was it. It was a bit disappointing but there was nothing anybody could have done!

One of the last performances was a demonstration by the RAF. They demonstrated the real purposes for the planes they use. The scenario was the field we were watching was an enemy base and the RAF were going to scan it, take out any grounded planes, take out any troops, bring in reinforces if an enemy planes were coming in and eventually take over the field! The demonstration took 45mins and it was brilliant. There were explosions and choppers landing, at one point this Hercules' landed and then reversed straight back up the runway to take off again! It was really good how they did it and it was the best part of the day for me!

But soon it was time to go home, although it took us 2 hours to get off the car park!!! We went to nans for a bit of tea but i was knackered so i went home and caught up with Doctor Who!!!!

So that's it for now, see ya!!!
