Surprise, Surprise!!!

Hello there bloggees, just another little update for you all.
My last blog left you at last Saturday, so i will continue on to last Sunday!!! A couple of blogs a go (if you can remember!) i was telling you all, that me and Kieron had gone down to the Cats Protection League to look at the kittens. We then had a home visit and we were put on the list. Last Sunday we had the call to say we could go and look around the kittens properly and if we wanted, we could have one that day!
We were both excited, we arrived at 11am and were greeted by the lovely staff and were shown around. We went into all the different pens and spent a good couple of minutes in with the kittens while the lady was telling us about that particular litter of kittens.
We original went with the idea that we would have a boy cat, but that was soon washed out of heads when most of the kittens we looked at were girls!
There were a number of cute kittens, some were quite scared and nervous and some were more playful and relaxed.
After we had looked at all the kittens we were taken into a little room called the 'Socialising Room'. There was one more kitten we had to see before trying to make a decision. She was part Persian and was really friendly at first but started getting a little bit agressive and nasty so we goodbye to her!!!
They then asked us if there were any kittens we liked and if there was, they would bring them to us so we could spend a bit more time with them so we could try and make a decision.
We had a really long think and we asked to see the very first kitten we had seen that day. It was a little girl, i thought at first she was black but she was actually what they call Tortoise Shell (Tortie for short) its basically a mixture of black, brown/tan and white!
When we saw her she was very relaxed and seemed happy to be around people. We spent a good 10 minutes or more and decided we would have her! The staff were very helpful and generous. They sorted us out with a cat carrier, litter tray and bowls, litter and some food for her.
They also had her micro chipped which saved us a trip to the vets! We filled in the forms and made a donation of £50 - now some of you might say that's exspensive for a cat but the Cats Protection League had already done her first part of her vaccinations (which costs about £30-40) they gave us their own food and litter (bearing in mind the Cats Protection League only survive on donations as they are a charity) adn they gave us a cat carrier and litter tray and bowls (again not that cheap!!!).
The Cats Protection staff had already named her Faith, which we thought was cute and different but we call her Faye for short. She's a right little terror, she loves to play and she's so inquisitive!
So last week i had to take Monday off from work because of my IBS, but i was back on my feet on Tuesday! The week went quite quick, Dave was away on holiday and i had booked Friday off aswell!
Now during the last couple of weeks, when i said i haven't been doing much well i partly lied, the majority - yes i haven't been doing much but those few days here and there i have spent with my good friend Emily as we were organising a surprise party!
Now i obviously i couldn't tell you what i was doing because Rosey (who the party was for!) would have found out and that wouldn't have been much of a surprise!
It all started with an idea of mine, Rosey had organised a holiday to celebrate her 21st birthday and i couldn't go due to money, the flat and work. So i decided i wanted to do something so that i to was involved with celebrating her birthday and that's when i ecided we would have a surprise party!
I quickly got Emily involved 'cos i would need some help and she thought it was a brillaint idea! So due to Emily's organising (which by the way Rosey do you remember you going shopping with Emily and she picked up some party invites and she said they were for Niall - she lied they were your invites!!!)
Friday me and Emily had the day off work so we could go and get the shopping and all the bits and pieces, some stuff we could use the left overs from Emily's party. We went over to Asda near Emily's and got the food, and then we went back to mine to start sorting through the baby photo's we had printed off of Rosey (due to the help of her mum and dad). We also picked up some balloons and a pinnata (those toys you fill with sweets and then smash it till the sweets fall out - actually that sounds pointless! Hmmm!).
We had had a busy day but at 5pm i took Emily back home, i came back and started tidying up the flat and i also cut the grass with my new strimmer.
So Saturday arrived, i got up nice and early finished the tidying up, and started blowing up balloons (with the help of Kieron!). Time was flying by and by the time i had finsihed the clearing and sorting and blowing etc it was 12pm! ARGHH!!! I hadn't even started the food!!!!
This was when panick set in - i had 2 hours to sort the food out, have a shower, vaccum the floor, put the decorations up, re-arrange the living room etc etc!
The food was just simple buffett food so it wasn't too bad, while i was doing that my wonderful boyfriend vaccumed for me and he even cleaned the bathroom (yes i was impressed!). it was coming up to 1pm ad most things were gettign sorted so the panciking was sort of over! Kieron's friend Jim had arrived so i got him helping straight away, who was followed by Angi and Richard! Whilst they were putting the balloons up i went and had a quick shower and got changed! Before Rosey's mum and dad arrived (which they 20 mins later!)
Meanwhile...... Emily and Jim had to go to the Jewellery Quarter to get Emily's Engagement ring re-sized so they were slightly delayed, anyway. They went straight over to pick Dan up and then over to Rosey's. As she got in the car she was blind folded and off they went. They decided to do a detour to try and put Rosey off, so they headed towards Emily's and then came down the motorway to mine! With a couple of extra loops around some islands and Dan playing music in her ears she was totally confussed!
They got to mine just gone 2pm, Emily texted me to let me know they were outside so i went and opened the door for them ready to walk straight-in, they stood Rosey in my living room door and there we all were!!
She was so shocked and couldn't say anything! We had a great afternoon, eating food and we also sang "Happy Birthday" as we had bought her a cake. We played the pinnata when it had stopped raining which was hilarious as Jim and Dan kept moving it out of people's way!
Later that evening we played on my Wii and had a game of Atmosphere. Although sadly it was getting late and poor Emily had work the next day! So we tidied up all the stuff, as soon as everybody left, i went straight to bed!
Sunday me and Kieron decided we were going to do bugger all! I was still shattered from all the running around the previous day and so was Kieron! We went and did the shopping and we quickly nipped over to Argos in Shirley, we bought the cat a little cat basket and a scratch pad stand. We got it all home and had a couple of beers.
Later that evening i went down to nan's as usaul, but i left early with Gaz to help him out with some school work he had to get done!
Well that's pretty much it for now, so until my next my blog, TTFN!
