'Tis The Season To Be In Debt'

Tra-la la-la laaa la-la la la!

Helloo there bloggers, well it's December all ready!! I can't believe. But anyhow it's coming up to the Christmas season, i quite enjoy christmas but what i don't like is all the mad Christmas shoppers running around and shopping like it's gone be the last Christmas ever.

I have completed most of my Christams shopping, apart from my mum's and my nan's (which i will be getting today!!!)

But enough of the ranting. So last time i blogged i was telling you about my trip to London and since then not alot has happened.

Last week went quite quick and before i knew it Friday was upon us. Me and Kieron had arranged to meet up with Stuart and Becky at the Jug of Ale in Moseley. I had never been in up untill then but my brother has been there many times and said how good it was!!

Me and Kieron arrived at 8 and phoned Becky to see where they were. Stuart had decided to drive there and just needed a few directions off Kieron. Me and Kie decided to get our drinks in and find somewhere to sit. It's quite a big place with an upstairs part where local bands descend and play gigs.

Not too long after, Stuart and Becky arrived. Becky had bought a new art book and was trying to teach Kie about modern art (My brother would call him a Philistine!)

Anyway, the night went on and the music was awesome, they played some classics like "my Sharona", "Atomic" and "Put you're hands up" me and Becky were singing along to all of them, but with a few more Jack Daniels down their necks the lads joined in to and it wasn't long before we were dancing!!!

Although Kie made me laugh 'cos he hates any music from the film 'Grease' however he seemed fine dancing to 'Grease Lightning' and he knew the moves!!!!!!

We had a great night and sadly it was time to go home. As Stuart had been drinking he left his van at the pub and got a taxi home with Becky.

Saturday morning, I took Kie to pick up Stuart's Van (the plan was that Kie, picked up the van took it back to Stu's and he was going to stay there for a bit playing on the Xbox, whilst i went with my brother to look for some ski blades!!!) Anyway whilst going to get the van, Stu rang Kie and told him he was at Becky's house. When they got in from the pub Becky let her cat out, tripped and had hurt her ankle and wanted to go to hospital.

I told Kie that A&E at Selly Oak on a Saturday would be bedlam and would be advisable to keep putting Hot and Cold flannels on her ankle to take the swelling down. If it still really hurt by Sunday morning then she should go to hospital!! (I learnt that from my mum!!)

Anyway.... Kie picked up the van and went to Stu's and i went back home to get my Brother. I had decided to try the Snowdome for blades, i knew they could be exspensive but apart from Snow & Rock in town i didn't know where else to go.

So off we went, I drove and Gaz kindly gave me directions, and after about 30 mins we arrived. There was a little queue to get into the car park, but we found a nice spot near the entrance. We went in and the plae was swarmed by kids. We pushed a few out of the way and made our way into the shop. They had plenty of ski's but i couldn't see any blades. I decided to ask one of the staff and found a gentleman wearing Ski gear with "Snowdome" plastered all over it and he was wearing a name badge, but he then kindly told me he didn't work there!!!! (why did he have a name badge then?)

Anyway a dopey youth turned around and asked if he could help. The blades they had were slightly longer than the ones i've tried but they did have release bindings and had a very nice price tag!!!

After leaving the shop a bit annoyed, Gaz wanted to have a look at the snowmobiles, there used to be a little basement section where you could go and watch them, but we couldn't find it and after asking a young girl, who looked like she didn't even know her own name we decided to go.

On the way home Gaz phoned dad to see if he had any suggestions, and he told us of a little ski shop by Widney Manor. So off we went. They had a few more choices, they had two types of blades with the usual clip binding on (which are the ones i've tried), the slightly longer ones with the bindings on (the same ones at the snowdome) and even longer ones which i class as junior ski's!!!

The binding blades were the same price as the snowdome and i don't want the ones with the clips 'cos they're annoying to fit and slightly unsafer. Dad is going to America in January on the lads skiing trip and said he would look at some there. If it all fails i will have to get the ones from Widney Sport shop.

We came back home after a very excitable journey out, where nan and grandad had arrived as usual. Later that evening i went back to Kie's house and we watched a couple of films.

Sunday was the same, although i stopped at Kie's house for my sunday dinner and it was very nice - so thumbs up to Maria!!

This week is flying by and im can't wait until the weekend. I think i will have a quiet night with kieron!!

Toodley-Pip! xx
