Take A Chill Pill

Hello there everyone and welcome back to my weekly update.

So it all begins last Monday (as usual) Peter was back on holiday for a few days and all hell broke loose, so many problems to deal with but fortunately we got through it.

I got back home ready to collapse. Kieron showed me how to make his version of spag bol (he's so fussy!!!) and then i sat down and read some of my Harry Potter book.

Tuesday was a bad day. I had woken up with a terrible head cold and nasty sore throat. I also had so many people at work doing so many stupid things that i lost my temper. People were leaving the office without telling me where and what they would return, Clients were turning up for meetings i had no idea about. Meetings that i thought were happening had been cancelled without me knowing and it went on and on so i lost it - big time!

I sent round a very sharp and nasty email informing everyone of what was going on and to my delight everyone jumped to my attention (that's more like it!).

A lit bit later after sorting that the rabble upstairs i was informed i was needed over at Armstrong Burton's offices, for some reason i was unaware of.

Once i arrived Janet told me that they needed some help with admin stuff as they were hectic. It was ok being over there but i wanted to get back to PD as i knew there would be things for me to do there aswell.

It was coming up to lunchtime and Harley our I.T guy was going over to PD so i hitched a ride with him. Thankfully when i got back things weren't too bad although i hardly got time to eat my sandwich!!!!

I was so glad that the day was over and practically ran towards town for my bus. That evening i just watched tv and relaxed.

Wednesday my cold got a bit worse and it was still busy at work. Peter was back in the afternoon so i went over a few things with him that he needed to know and it gradually got calmer. I did some filling in the afternoon which soon whisked the day away.

Wednesday evening i carried on reading Harry Potter, Kieron had an early night from his xbox and he came and joined me to watch Torchwood and Gordon Ramsay.

Thursday work had slowed down to a nice casual pace. I had some minutes to type up and the day went by without too many hiccups.

Thursday evening i did a spot of tyding up before having my tea and watching some tv. Kieron had found a new tv programme on Sci-Fi called Moonlight its a cross between CSI and Blade - its very good so there's another programme to add to our regular list of programmes.

Friday and thankfully my cold had almost gone. It was also a really good day at work, most people were out or on holiday and it only left a couple of us in the office, there was a nice chilled out atmosphere which is always good on a Friday. The day still went by fairly quickly and was glad that it was all over at 5pm.

When i got home Kieron had started abother spag bol so i went round the corner and got a bottle of wine. We watched bits of tv for most of evening and ended up watching Sport Relief. Any Top Gear fans would have love Top Ground Gear Force - Top Gear does Ground Force!! It was hilarious and me and Kieron couldn't stop laughing.

Saturday had arrived - Yippee!!! I was off to London for the day to see Hairspray with my Aunty Jan and some of her friends from work.

I got down to Aunty Jans for 8.30am (not to Kieron's liking who had to drop me off) and was ready and waiting, dad shortly arrived after who had kindly offered us to take us to New Street station. Rachel also came along with us as she was doing some shopping in town.

We got to New Street for 9.30am, me and Aunty Jan said our goodbyes and went into the station. Jackie, Carly, Hannah and Anna soon arrived and we decided to get oursleves a drink and a bacon sarnie from Burger King.

We soon had our food and made our way down to our platform where the train was already waiting for us. It was absolutley packed, Jackie had reserved our seats in Carriage D but we couldn't get through because of all the people.

The train pulled off at 10am and we still weren't in our seats, once some more people had shifted i lead the way through the carriages. We were in first class and had to move down 5 carriages before getting to D.

We were almost there before we couldn't move any further. Apparantly (according to a conversation i had over heard) there was some craft thing going on a the N.E.C and that's where all the people were going.

After 10 minutes we pulled up at International Station so we jumped off the train, ran down the platform and got on at Cariage D.

We hoisted the people out of our reserved seats and finally managed to tuck into our bacon baps. We were half way through our journey, having a nice chat when Carly pulled out a bottle of sparkling wine, some orange juice and some pastic cups and started dishing out bucksfizz to everyone!

We arrived 10 minutes early in Euston and made our way to the taxi rank to get us to Shaftesbury Theatre. The show started at 3pm and we had plenty of time to kill. We took a stroll round the corner into Covent Garden to find somewhere to eat.

After a mooch round a few shops and stall we found Zizzi's and decided to go in there. I phoned Irene (who was on her way to meet us) to tell her where we were. She was having a few problems on the train as the Rugby was on in Twickenham.

We ordered some drinks and had a nice little chat round the table. It wasn't long before Irene arrived and we started to order our food.

Most of us had pasta as we only wanted something light before the show. After our food we got the bill and made our way back to the theatre. We found our seats and waited for it to begin.

Hairspray is about a girl (Tracy) who loves to sing and dance, and her ambition is to appear on the Corny Collins show which features the latest songs and dances.Even though Tracy can sing and dance she's quite a chubby girl and she she gets picked on at school.

She ends up in detention one day and meets a group of black kids who show her some fancy new dance moves.

Anyway it ends up that they have a competition on this show and Tracy appears with these black kids and they become famous etc the end.

Its a really good show and the music and dancing is brilliant. The best bit though is that Michael Ball plays Tracy's mother and it's just so funny!

After the show we decided to have a drink somewhere, but beacuse the Rugby was on, everywhere was packed so we ended up in TGI Friday's.

After a couple of drinks we decided to get something to eat and went back to the restaurant we were in last year called the Popagonda. Its really weird but colourful in there and the food is delicious.

We all had a nice chat and a laugh but it was soon time for us to go. We said our goodbyes to Irene, grabbed a taxi and headed back to Euston.

We were all falling asleep on the way home and iwas glad to see New Street station. Kieron was already waiting for me and Aunty Jan and he soon got us back home. It was 12.10am when i got back to the flat and i went straight to bed.

Sunday was a good day, i got up and did some tidying and then popped down to see mum. For Mother's day i was going to buy her Paul McCartney's Pipes of Peace on cd but they hadn't got it so i ordered it online. It arrived on Saturday morning whilst i was in London so i decided to go give it her.

I had a cup of coffee whilst i was there and had a little chat. I stayed for an hour as i had to go do the food shopping. It was hectic in Sainsbury's and we couldn't wait to get out of there.

When we got back i unloaded the shopping whilst Kieron started cooking dinner. He made a prawn curry and it was really nice.

After dinner we watched some tv before deciding to go to Blockbusters to see what films they had got. There wasn't much that we wanted to watch but we ended up renting Anchor Man, we've been wanting to watch it for awhile but couldn't find it anywhere until now.

It's quite a funny film although a bit silly in places.

After watching the film i went down to nans for tea as usual.

And i think that just about sums it all up so see you next week.
