Who Are You and What Do You Want?

Hello, hello yesi t's that time again, so.....

Last Monday work was fairly busy, i was upstair mostly printing off drawings for Paul and Mikey as they had a lot of drawings going out to Clients and Project teams.

Monday evening i played on my Wii for a bit before watching a bit of tv, Kieron was on his xbox but came off it fairly early because he didn't feel very well.

Tuesday was an eventful day, Kieron had been up and down all night as he wasn't very well and he didn't feel very so didn't go to work. Although i was really worried as he could hardly stand up and he described it as feeling really drunk (which i know is a common sign of Carbon Monoxide posioning!)

When i got to work i was very concerened and decided to call the National Grid on their emergency telephone number. I spoke to a very helpful gentleman, i explained the situation and he said they would send somebody within the hour.

Not so long after Kieorn rang me and told me the engineer had been round and we had a massive gas leak! He had shut off all the gas (which meant no hot water or boiler!) as it was very dangerous. So with this i then rang British Gas (our gas providers) and told them the situation and the very unhelpful woman told me an engineer would come out the next day to give us a quote on the work but it could take up to 3 weeks before anybody could fix it!!!!!!!!!! I was not happy.

That evening me and Kieron sat on our sofa with the duvet around us as it was freezing cold, we watched some tv and then went to bed.

Wednesday another exciting day, Faye was booked in to go to the vets for her operation, i dropped her off just gone 8am and was told to ring about 2.30pm to check if she was ready for collection.

I played on Wii most of the day with Kieron helping and watching me, but it wasn't long before British Gas arrived. He did some tests and he told us it was the pipe that leads to the gas fire which was leaking. So we decided just to get the heating back on and hot water again we asked him to cap the pipe off and we would get it fixed at a later date, and he did it there and then (which was a relief although at a cost of £74!!!).

It only took him 30mins to do and put the boiler back on! Me and Kieron popped into Cotteridge as Kieron wanted to buy Fifa 2008 we did that and a little mooch around before going home.

That afternoon i rang the vets to check on Faye and they said she would be ready for 3.30pm! Me and Kieron went and fetched her and she looked really miserable. She had got one of those stupid lampshade collars on and she really didn't like it. We got her back home and she running round like a headless chicken. I think she was just frightened and sore but within two seconds she had pulled the collar off and there was no way we were getting it back on!

So it was a speedy drive back down to the vets who somehow got it back on her! We got Faye home again, and she finally settled down and fell asleep. It really made me upset to see her so distressed, but at least she will be free to go out as much as she wants.

We also had to cut the collar so that she could reach her food properly, she looked really silly!

Thursday it was back to work as usual, well sort of! I had just made morning drinks when the door rang. It was a guy from Nolans (one of our structual engineer consultants) i thought he might be coming to collect some drawings, but when got to my office he said he had come for the Perry Park Meeting (what meeting???) with that everyone else from the team started turning up as well and i hadn't got a clue. So i rang Dave Richards who's at Armstrong Burton (and who is now in charge of the Selco projects) to see what was going on and he confirmed that there was a meeting.

Well it would have been nice to have known before hand!!! So i showed eeryone into the meeting room and made them all drinks.

A bit later the door rang again and it was a gentleman who was meeting Derek. Again i didn't bloody know!!!! So i sat him down and made him a drink, whilst waiting for Derek.

Derek finally arrived and went into his meeting .

Thursday evening i was glad to get home and relax i just watched tv for the evening and then Kieron came and joined me.

Friday was, thankfully, a quiet day. We were all going over to Armstrong Burton's offices for a team meeting. We left the office at 3.30 and got there for just gone 4pm. We were shown around by Sally who basically does the same job as i do!

We were then given a drink and sat in their meeting room. Derek went over the new jobs that had come in recently followed by Peter who gave them a bit more info about us lot and the kind of jobs that we do. It only lasted 20mins and then there was a buffet!

It had gone 6pm and Malcolm kindly gave me a lift home. I was so relieved to sit down and enjoy a nice bottle of wine!

Saturday was a nice day i went round to see mum, nan and grandad and we had our usual afternoon wine and cake. I was there until about 5pm before going home. That evening i met up with Dan, Rosey and Richard at the Reservoir where we partly watched the rugby. It was a nice evening and it was good to catch up with Richard!

We stayed there untill closing and then headed off home.

Sunday i decided to chill out, i played my Wii for most of the day before going to do the shopping. We came back and Kieron did some dinner and i then fell asleep for 20mins on the sofa.

That evening i went down to nans as usual, Aunty Jan and Mark were also there as they were watching the other semi-final of the rugby.

And that's about it for this week, so see you next week!

Hibernation

Hello to you all, once again its time for my weekly update...

...So last monday work was ok, fairly quiet but thankfully my day went quickly by and before i knew it it was time to go home.

Kieron had moved his xbox from the living room back into the spare bedroom as he had decided it wasn't fair on me to suffer watching Halo 3 all the time. I spent my evening catching up on all the programmes i had recently missed.

Tuesday work was even quieter, there wasn't that much work to do so i just helped the lads print off drawings and copy them etc etc which i really enjoyed as i got to learn more about some of the projects we are currently doing.

Tuesday evening was pretty much the same as Monday, i was a TV whore!!!!

Wednesday work was busy with phone calls, i couldn't move without the phone ringing which was great in a way because my day went by quick although really annoying at the same time because i just couldn't do anything.

Wednesday evening Kieron had got some dvd's (copies) we watched Rush Hour 3 and a Resident Evil film. Both very good, Rush Hour 3 being very silly and jokey and Resident Evil very good although a bit predictable.

Thursday work was quiet again ... but i had some filing to do so it wasn't so bad.

Thursday evening i was very tired so i had a nice relaxing shower and a cup of hot chocolate (not at the same time!) read my book and had an early night.

Friday work went whizzing by and i hadn't really done anything. Janet from Armstrong Burton came to see us and announced that we were all getting business cards (which i think is a waste of time for me but also a bit flash!)

Friday evening Kieron had bought a bottle of wine and decided to have a chinese takeaway. I watched tv (caught up on my X Factor!) and Kieron was in the spare room throwing grenades and sniping people (on Halo 3!).

Saturday i tidied up the flat before going to see mum, nan and grandad as usual although i only stayed an hour as i had to take Faye (the cat) to the vets. She went in to have a check up before she goes in to be spayed, the vet said that she was very healthy and i could book her in to suit me.

That evening we met up with Stuart and Becky at Sweet Chillies, me and becky had previously arranged the meal a couple of weeks ago when they came round ours. The place was packed but we managed to get a table.

We had a pleasant evening, talking about anything and everything but it was a good laugh. We left Sweet Chillies at 10.30, me and Kieron were knackered! We got hoem and decided to go to bed.

Sunday was a chilled out day, we went and did the shopping at Sainsbury's. I bought a new cd Radio 1 - Established 1967, its new artisists covering songs from the past 40 decades to celebrate Radio 1's 40th birthday. I also bought a new game for the Wii 'My Sims'. It's like The Sims that you can get on the PC and Playstation but the the actual story/plot is like Sim City. Instead of just building a family and looking after them, you have to look after a whole town! Very childish and basic but i don't care 'cos it suits me perfectly (mainly because i'm childish and basic!).

After we had done the shopping we then went over to Argos in Shirley to get a new set of Saucepans and some new wine glasses. Then we popped in to see Kieron's mum and dad as they had been away on holiday for 2 weeks in Greece. They had also bought us a big bottle of Jack Daniels! Mmmmm!

We then got back home and put the shopping away, i sat down and played my new game and Kieron went to play on his xbox.

*thinks*

Well i think that's it for now peeps so until next week, tara!

Shoot The Bugger!

Hello there people,

Yes time once again for my weekly update.

Last Monday work was fairly busy, Dave was getting ready to go on holiday and was tying up loose ends, which meant alot of running around for me.

We also had a couple of candidates come in for interviews with Peter as we are currently 1 member of staff down. Although the two that came in, one looked like he was dosed up on drugs and the second looked like he would have problems remembering his name! I know i shouldn't judge, but hey, this is my blog and i shall judge and have my say!

I also went for a drink at lunch with Adam as he had had his results for his Part 2 and he had done extremely well!

Monday evening was quiet watching the tv and i caught up on some programmes i had missed.

Tuesday was pretty much the same as Monday except Dave wasn't in the office but he had left me things to do!

Tuesday evening again watching tv! *Yawns*

Wednesday - Launch day of Halo 3!

Yes i'm sure many of you have it, Kieron was very excited. He phoned me at lunch and he was very eager to get home and try it. Although disappointingly when he got home Halo had been delivered but he had a scratched disc and a dented tin (this has been in the news!). He said he will return it but wants to have a bash on it first!

Work again was hectic although this was Dave's last day in the office before going on holiday so i was looking forward to getting the day over and done with!

Wednesday evening Stuart and Becky came round for the evening, they also dropped off their wedding invitation. We had a nice chat, mainly about Becky being pregnant. She is 6 months now and she was telling me her suggestions of names. They didn't stay that long as Stuart and Kieron both wanted to have a real bash on Halo 3!

Thursday work was quiet (thank god!) although i did have filling to do but that didn't take me long due to the fact it was so darn quiet!

Thursday day evening Kieron was on Halo 3 so i had a practice on my organ.

Friday was .... interesting. I bet none of you have ever had your boss as a dogs-body for the day? well i have! Derek Burton came in the office as he wanted to familiarise himself with things so when he pops in from time to time he can just get with the stuff he needs to do without having to disturb any of us. So i was put in charge!

It was actually very funny and we had a good laugh ( i almost got him to do my filing!). In the afternoon Derek had a meeting at our offices so that kept me busy supplying tea and coffee.

Friday evening was a nice evening as me, Emily, Jim, Dan and Rosey all went up to Burton for Angi's birthday meal.

Emily and Jim picked me up at 8pm and we set off (using Jim's TomTom). We arrived for 8.30 and walked across the road to the restaurant. We went to the same chinese buffet place where we went last year so we were all looking forward to it!

Rosey and Dan had already arrived so we got our drinks and went and sat with them. It wasn't long before we were shown to our table and we got stuck in. We all had a laugh and natter and the evening was very pleasant (although some of that was down to me for being the "soul" of the group!)

By the time we had all finished it was 10.30pm so we paid the bill and decided what to do next. Angi knew of a bar down the road from the restaurant called 'The Paramount' so we headed off there. Richard went in Jim's car to direct him and me, Rosey and Dan followed them until we got to a road which was closed due to works but we noticed all the taxi's were still going down it so we thought stuff it!

Luckily they hadn't started the major works so there were no holes in hte ground to worry about!

We got oursleves a drink (eventually) and got seated. They played some good classic tunes from the early 90's which brought back so many memories for us all! We only stayed an hour and decided to head back, so we said our goodbye's and headed off home. Emily and Jim kindly dropped me back and when i got in i went straight to bed.

Saturday was the usual, Kieron played on Halo 3 whilst i played on my organ for a bit before going down to mum's to find that Gaz was also playing Halo 3! He showed me some of the levels on the game and he showed me the photos and screenshots he had saved which we all very good.

We had our usual glass of wine and cake and a good natter as always, although most of the chatter was Gareth trying to explain to nan, grandad and mum the story behind Halo!!!!

I left about 5pm and set off home to find that Kieron was still playing Halo 3. I sat and updated my mp3 player for a bit before sitting down to watch Kieorn.

Sunday was another day filled with Halo 3, i got on and did some tidying around the flat which made me feel better! I then had to drag Kieron off the xbox to do the shopping.

That afternoon i decided to sit with Kieorn and watch him play Halo, i quite enjoy watching it being played, it gets very tacticle!

Finally that evening i went down to nans for tea, where me a Gaz talked about more Halo!

And that's it for me, hopefully next week i won't be talking about Halo so much but we will see!
