"Come In Number 6 Your Time Is Up!"

Hello everyone and welcome back to yet another update, the weeks seem to be flying by, but nevertheless i shall start....

So last Monday work was fairly busy, the phone hardly stopped all day and i had a pile of filing to do but thankfully it was time to go home before i knew it.

In the evening Kieron played Call of Duty for most of the evening whislt i watched my fill of soaps and other tv programmes.

Tuesday work wasn't as hectic but i still had a fair few things to do but my day unfortunately dragged so i couldn't wait to get home.

In the evening i palyed on Mario Kart for a bit before watching some tv. Kieron came off his xbox fairly early as he had had enough of the screaming Americans! We watched a bit more tv and went to bed.

Wednesday work was still busy but my day went by alot quicker. Me and Paul went into the Pub at lunch for a quick half as we both rushed off our feet.

In the evening me and Kieron went to Sainsbury's to buy a dvd and a bottle of wine. We ended up buying Enchanted, which is really hilarious. A princess, prince and evil step-mother come across to the real world and its just brilliant - well recommended!

Thursday work dragged, i had little bits and bobs to sort out but nothing major to do so i spent ost of my day clock watching.

In the evening me and Kieron watched tv and caught up with New Most Haunted.

Friday was a really good day as it was time for another Team Bonding day with Armstrong Burton. Today was a day out at Wolverhampton Race Course.

We (PD) all got to work at the usual time of 8.30 and did our day-to-day normal stuff. I went and fetched some sandwiches from Phil Potts up the road in time for our early lunch. At 12pm we shut off the phones and closed down the computers had our sandwiches and set off for Wolverhampton. Me and Paul went in Peter's car and everyone else followed.

We got there for just turned 2pm and met the people from Armstrong Burton in the bar (the best place!). Janet soon greeted us and gave us our race cards (a booklet with the time of the races in and description of the horses racing in them). and some vouchers for free drinks.

The first race was soon under way so we all went outside to watch and to get our bearings. After the first race we were all putting bets on now that we knew what to do. I put a £4 bet on One Called Alice to win. Soon we were all back outside with our bet slips in our hand waiting patiently, until they were off!

One Called Alice sadly came in 2nd so i didn't win anything, but there were others in our group who had won. Paul won £40 on the next race on a horse called Arthur's Edge and other people had little wins. All in all it was a really good day. We left Wolverhampton at about 4.30pm and Malcolm kindly gave me and Tony a lift home.

I got back to the flat for about 6.30pm, i had some tea, had a wash and then me and Kieron met up with my good friend Luci Perks and her boyfriend Jason.

We got to the Reservoir for about 8pm and Luci and Jason were already there. i did the introductions and then sat down and had a chat. I haven't seen Luci since i left Woodrush although we have kept in touch by sending a txt or ringing her once in a while.

It was really nice to see Luci and she hasn't changed one bit, apart from the fact she has long hair again and now wears glasses!

It was nearly 11pm and we decided to head off home, so we said our goodbye's and made our way home.

Saturday me and Kieron did some tidying up before i went to see my mum, nan and grandad. Nan was feeling lot better so she was able to come and see us. We had our cake and glasses of wine and our usual natter.

Me and Gareth also watched Doctor Who on catchup as i had missed the previous episode. I left mum's at about 5pm and headed back to the flat.

Me and Kieron decided to order a few more DVD's off our wish list and then headed round to Steve and Natalie's. Steve had a new game for the xbox so he and Kieron were on that for most of the night whilst me and Natalie sat and had a chat. We had a good laugh as usual and me and Kieron left about 11pm as we were tired.

Sunday was a good day we went and did the shopping and then came back and relaxed. I watched some tv and Kieron was on his xbox.

Instead of going round nan's for tea me and Kieron were re-invited back round to Steve and Natalie's as Andy and Becky had popped in, Steve wanted to make a bit of a night of it, so we played some games and a couple of drinks. It was a good laugh but me and Kieron headed off around 10pm as we were knackered adn had to get up for work.

And i think that about sums it up for me so cheerio

"Sh*t That Hurt!"

Hello everyone, another week has passed and it's already time for my weekly update. So let's begin....

Last Monday work was good, Peter was on holiday for a few days and everything was generally quiet. I helped Paul and Mike get lots of drawings issued and copied and sent over to one of Clients in Halesowen (which i attended too!). Helping the lads my day flew by and it was soon time for me to go home.

In the evening i played on Mario Kart and started to unlock a couple more characters whilst Kieron was having a major screaming session at his xbox for most of the evening. He didn't come off it until quite late but i didn't mind, we watched some tv together before going to bed.

Tuesday work was again a good day, i had quite a few little jobs to do which kept me busy. However (and this is reason for the title of my blog) my desk at work has a wood surface but underneath its all metal, and all day everytime i went to touch or sit at my desk i kept getting awful electric shocks. Now i'm not talking about the little ones you can get, i mean proper full blast electricity and they bloody hurt!

During my day i was trimming some drawings for some of the lads, i went over to use the paper cutter (which is metal) and as i touched it, yet again another electric shock. But this one actually made a cracking sound (a bit like lightning). It was so loud that the lads heard it and asked me if i was alright.

So very kindly Mike lent me his gloves so that i could get one with my job whilst trying to work out what was causing the shocks.

In the evening i played some more Mario Kart. Kieron came off his xbox at his usual time and we decided to watch Snatch. I have seen some of it before but have never managed to watch the whole thing. Its actually very funny so deffinately worth watching.

Wednesday work had slowed down and i was pottering around the office looking for things to do. I also kept having my electric shock so i tried taking off all my jewellery to see if that helped. My two rings, earrings, necklace and yes my belly button ring came off and it didn't help!

Next the lads thought it was my cardigan so i tried that for a bit but still no luck.

Wednesday evening i caught up with some tv i had missed and then watched The Apprentice which was great! Kieron came and joined me afterwards and then we went to bed.

Thursday finally saw the end to my electric shocks as me and Paul worked out what was causing them. The result.........my shoes! Yes that's right my shoes. My new shoes have fairly slippy soles and sometimes when im walking round the office i sometimes slide along the carpet!!!!!

When i got home i had a quick bite to eat and then went to the Cheswick Green Inn to meet up with Emily, Jim, Rosey and Dan. We normally got to the Reservoir but we ALWAYS go there so we fancied a random change. We chose the Cheswick as Rosey and Emily had never been there before, but i can safely say we probably won't be going back there again as A) they don't sell Guinness and B) they stop serving food (well i say food i actually mean desserts) at 9.00pm!

Although on the plus side they were playing some classic 80's songs and its a lot brighter in there than the Reservoir! We had a nice chat and a couple of drinks (especially Dan!) and left around 11.00pm.

Friday was a slow and boring day at work, Peter was back from his little holiday and there wasn't much to do. Thankfully 5.00pm came and i was on my way home.

Gareth came round in the evening as i had challenged him to some Mario Kart on the Wii. Now when we were little me and Gareth always played Mario Kart, we played it on the SNES, the N64 and the Gamecube. 99.9% of the time my brother would beat me mainly because he was a lot better than me and he would be on his computer for most of his spare time.

So i was preparing myself for a whooping but to my surprise i beat him - alot! Which i think brings the score even from our childhood years!!

We played Mario Kart for most of the night and then Gareth went and watched Kieron play Call of Duty 4. By about 11.00pm Gareth was tired so he called it a night and went home. Me and Kieron watched some tv together before we went to bed .

Saturday i got up and did some tidying up before going to see mum. When i got there my grandad had already arrived but without my nan. I soon found out that she wasn't very well and was in bed with the flu. So grandad stayed for 10 minutes and then went back home to look after her. Shortly after grandad left, Gareth went out with Adam and Jenny. So it was just me and mum. We had a glass of wine and thought sod it! We'll go somewhere as well. We decided to go to Hatton Craft Centre mainly because we hadn't been there for ages and also mum wanted to see if she could get some Sandlewood soap (which she adores!).

We had a look around but with no luck in finding the soap. In fact its gone downhill, there aren't as many interesting shops as there used to be, so we went to the best shop there - the sweetie shop.

We bought a bag of sweets each and headed off home. On our way back mum was talking about getting some new towels, so we did a quick detour to Shirley Retail Park to Rosebys. We were there for about half an hour and then went back home.

After dropping mum off i went beack to the flat and had something to eat. Kieron packed up my Wii and we went round Steve and Natalie's. Poor Natalie had hurt her foot so she was on the sofa with her foot resting on a pillow.

Steve and Kieron played some Mario Kart untili challenged Kieron to a game. Kieron being oh-so confident accepted and started taking the mick. But it wasn't long before that smile was wiped off his face and i beat him, again and again and again!

So i was then banned from playing so me and Natalie we look through catalogues and stuff. Before we knew it it was nearly 11.00pm so me and Kieron decided it was time to leave.

Sunday was a great day Villa vs Blues and i knew that we could beat them. Me and Kieron listened to the game but had to go and do the shopping. We dropped the shoppiong back home and then we went down to Tony and Maria's for some dinner. Tony put the radio on for us so that we could listen to the last part of the game and what a glorious victory it was, 5-1 to Villa.

Later that i evening i went down to nans as usual with my proud looking villa shirt, to my dad's disliking (as he is a Blues supporter!). I had some tea and watched some tv before going back home to bed.

And i think that just about sums it for me so cheerio!

"Move Outta My Way Toad...Damn You Donkey Kong!!"

Hello there everyone and welcome back to my weekly update.

So i begin last Monday work was ok, quite alot of phone calls during the day but it eventually slowed down and gave me time to do some letters etc.

In the evening Kieron was on his xbox and i sat and watched tv until Kieron came and joined me at about 9pm watched a bit more tv and went to bed.

Tuesday was a manic day, Derek was in to see everyone, he likes to have a 10 minute-or-so chat with staff to see how they feel, sort out any problems if any or discuss future goals.

With everyone in and out of meetings with Derek, my day got quite complicated and i was looking forward to going home at 5.30pm.

Eventually i got home, i put some tea on as Kieron was far too ingrossed in his xbox (if you've read my brother's blog you'll know that its Call of Duty 4 that's keeping the lads busy). After tea i watched some tv for a bit and then updated my MP3 player as i hadn't got much else to do.

Wednesday work was slow, but i was looking forward to lunchtime as Emily and Rosey were coming down to see me. Emily had been down a couple of weeks ago (which i think i forgot to blog so apologies to you all for forgetting and apologies to Emily!).

Emily had the week off work and Rosey was on her Easter holidays (her Easter holidays started a week later due to being in Gloucester!).

I met them in the Red Babboon next door to my offices, Emily kindly bought me a drink and we settled down at the nearest table. We had a nice little chat and a drink, Emily and Rosey hadn't eaten so they ordered some food.

But unfortunately time soon ran out so i said my goodbyes and went back to work. The afternoon continued to move fairly quickly and i was going home before i knew it.

In the evening Kieron was still on his xbox shouting and screaming at his team mates and i watched some tv, including The Apprentice.

Thursday work was quite dull but i had a few things to be getting on with, there was hardly anybody in the offices so at least everything was peaceful. In the afternoon Harley the I.T manager came in to get our printer/photocopier to finally scan.

Harley also had a a chap come round and quote some work to move our fax line over to the printer/photocopier so that it could also be turned into a fax machine at some point during the future. So my desk and all my stuff (including me) were shifted to one side so that the guy could have a look at our fax and telephone system. It all started getting a bit too hectic for me so i made my escape upstairs until they had finished and gone.

In the evening i came home to find that the dvd's Kieron had ordered off Play.com had arrived. We had: Chronicles of Riddick, From Hell, Layer Cake, Snatch, Terminator 3, Independence Day and Sky Blue (which is a Manga film).

These are start of collecting off our wish list that we made about a week ago, i'll be collecting some when i get paid at the end of the month. After watching a bit of tv Kieron wanted to watch Sky Blue, its only about an hour long so i decided why not.

I have watched similar things before, one of which was Final Fantasy: Advent Children which i really enjoyed and was very open minded to it, however Sky Blue isn't as....... hmmm.. ..magical as Final Fantasy and i didn't really understand what was going on! Kieron really liked but then again he understood it!

Friday i dropped my car in to have its M.O.T, and then made my way into work. Work was actually really quiet and there wasn't much to do. However lunchtime came and i ran into town as i was going to buy a new game for my Wii, i was going to buy Mario Kart!!!

I had been waiting a long time for this and i was so excited. The game also came with an accessory - the Wii Wheel. You place your Wii remote into the wheel and then control the kart as if you were driving a normal car!

At 4.00pm i got to leave early so that i could collect my car out of the garage which i was extremely pleased about because it meant that i could back home earlier and play Mario Kart!

My car passed with flying colours and i set off for home. As soon as i got in i texted my brother to let him know i had bought Mario Kart and switched on my Wii.

I tried a few time trial laps so i could get used to the wheel as it is extremely sensitive but once i got the hang of it i was soon flying around the tracks.

Gaz came up at about 5.30pm so he too could have a go with the wheel. We played a few tracks on the GP but then me and Gaz had to leave as we were going out for a meal for Aunty Jans birthday.

We picked dad up and then made our way to Kings Heath. We went to a curry house called Kings (no surprises how they chose their name!) which i think we have been to once before. Just as Gaz had finished parking, Aunty Jan and everybody else arrived.

Rachel brought Adam with her and also Adam's parents Jackie(i think that's what her name is!?!) and Roger.

After a bit of a mix up with some tables we got our seats. We had a laugh and a good old chat and before we knew it it was 11.30pm.

We said our goodbyes and me and Gaz went home. Gaz came in for a bit as we wanted to play some more Mario Kart, however Kieron was watching From Hell. Gaz stayed for about half hour before going home as he was tired.

Saturday was a good day, i got up and played some more Mario Kart before me and Kieron went into town. Kieron's xbox has started to play up again, so instead of sending it back to be fixed (for the 6th time) and waiting 5/6weeks for it, he decided he would trade it in with some games for an xbox elite.

So he packed up his stuff and off we went. We were soon in Gamestation (after going back to the car 'cos we left the xbox in the boot!) looking at some of the deals.

Kieron got £160 for his xbox and games, and £40 for his gamecube (which he decided at the last minute to trade!). So a nice £200 to spend on his Elite. All he had to pay was the difference which was £60 - Kieron got a brand new Elite for £60 ...... Bargain!

We had a mooch around some shops in Bullring before coming back home. I had some quick lunch before going down to see mum, nan and grandad.

I stayed there for a good couple of hours before going back home, picking up my Wii and going round to Steve and Natalie's for the evening.

Kieron set up my Wii so that he could show Steve and we had a few races. Me and Kieron stayed until about 11pm before heading off home.

Sunday was another busy day for me i got up and went and did the shopping. When i came back i played a few games with Kieron on Mario Kart. I had some lunch and then went and picked mum as we were going to the NEC. There was a small exhibition on about property developing and home improvements so off we went. It was free to get in and we had a wonder round the stands looking at the very modern (and expensive) furniture and improvements you could do to your home.

We stayed for a couple of hours and then went home. I dropped mum off and then went back to flat. I had a sit down for half an hour before going out with Kieron to Stuart and Becky's. We had a bit of a falling out with them and decided it was time to sort it out.

We had a look around the house and had a chat before sorting out the problems. I got a little frustrated but we managed to sort the majority of things out.

By the time we got home it was 5.30pm so i decided to give my nans a miss as i was knackered and me and Keron watched Layer Cake.

If you love/liked Lock Stock and snatch you will love Layer Cake. Its directed by the Producer of Snatch and Lock Stock and it has to the same cocky, sarcastic tone to the movie.

After the film it was late so we decided to go to bed.

And i think that's about so cheerio :)

There's A Whole Lot Of Nothin' To Do!

Hello there readers and welcome to my weekly update. My apologies for the lateness but it has taken me this long to remember what happened last week, and by the looks at the title of this blog, not alot!

Last Monday was the last day of March. Work was ok, mainly doing little but important jobs. In the evening me and Kieron watched some downloaded episodes of Bionic Woman. It's a brand new series and Michelle Ryan (aka Zoe Slater in Eastenders) plays the main role and she doesn't do a bad job.

Tuesday the 1st of April and it was quite a dull day for me, not many people in the office and not alot of work to do.

Tuesday evening me and Kieron sat and watched New Most Haunted which was very creepy (even though most of it is probably made up!). After that i put some new music onto my MP3 player as i was getting really bored of listening to same stuff.

Wednesday work picked up a bit there was alot more going on. More phone calls, more letters to type, so i felt good that my day flew by.

In the evening me and Kieron watched Constantine on dvd. I've seen this film a few times now and it's clearly the dullest film ever. It could have been a lot better mainly by not having Keanu Reeves play the main role, but anyway Kieron wanted to watch it.

Thursday went back to being slow and boring. I hate days like that as it feels that my 8 1/2 hours i spend at work are actually doubled in to 17 hours instead!

On my way home i had a phone call from dad, the skiing crew had finished their last day of skiing and were coming home the next day. I spoke to my dad, Lorraine, Lyndsey and my brother (which really cheered me up).

Kieron had also had a busy day so we decided to have a chinese. When i got home we watched some rubbish on tv before deciding on watching another film, however it was my turn to choose. I was going to force Kieron to watch Dirty Dancing seeing-as-though i had suffer Constantine, but thought i would be a bit kinder and we watched Disney Pixars Cars.

Friday hardly anybody was in work but i did have a few things to do which made my day better.

In the evening i came home to a bit of chaos. Kieron had decideed to sort out our DVD collection we have something of approximately 200 DVD's, however some of those DVD's are copies (some good copies others are bad) and Kieron wanted to sort them out and replace the crappy copies for the originals.

But being a man (no disrespect to my male readers 'cos i'm sure you'll agree its true) he had given up after 5 minutes of being bored form doing it. So in i stepped, as organised is my middle name!

I got changed, grabbed a pen adn some paper and sat down with Kieron to sort them out. We got rid of about 50-60 dvd copies which we wanted to replace. With the dvd's we had got left, we (well maybe it was just I) but back the dvd's in alphabetical order.

With the sorting and the alphabeticalising it took us a couple of hours. We had something to eat and we decided we would make a wish list of all the dvd's we want in our collection. So on to Play.com we went and started writing down the dvd's we wanted. Again that took a couple of hours and on and on the list went until we had clocked up another 120 dvd's we wanted to buy (including the one's that need replacing).

Saturday i got up and had to take the cat to the vets for her booster injections, which she didn't particularly thank me for but hey-ho she's a cat and therefore can't talk!

When i got back i had a shower to get rid of some of the loose scab off my tattoo and to my surprise when i got out most of the scab had come off! Excellent

Me and Kieron then decided we wanted a pub lunch, so we called Gaz to see what he was doing, picked him up and up to the Reservoir we went. Me and Kieron had Lasagne and chips and Gareth had Sausage and Mash.

After a couple of pints we then went back to my mums where nan and grandad had arrived. We sat down with our wine and cake and then watched the Grand National as we always do.

After that me and Kieron went round to see Steve and Natalie. We spent the night reminiscing about the things we used to do or places we used to go when we were children.

Me and Kieron stayed until 1030pm and then went back home. We decided to watch the last episode of Torchwood followed the brand new episode of Doctor Who, which i thought was good but i think i need to warm to Catherine Tate a bit more.

Sunday was a nice relaxing day, we went to Sainsbury's to get our shopping, and then came back home where Kieron cooked a lovely Chicken Curry. Kieron went off and played on his xbox for a bit whilst i caught up on Eastenders and The Apprentice.

Then it was soon time for me to go down to nans for my tea as usual and to see dad as i hadn't seen him since he came back from skiing.

And i think that's about it from me so cheerio!
