Chilling Out!

Hello there viewers

So i start with my blog last Monday, work was really, really busy i don't know why really everything just happened at once. But it was a good day none the less!

Monday evening me and Kieron listened to the Villa match (as we don't have Setanta sports!). I plugged my new speakers into my phone (which my mum bought me for xmas!) and listened to it intently whilst me and Kieron were cooking dinner. We were playing Liverpool away and i was slightly nervous for the lads. It was a slow first half followed by an amazing second and the final score was 2-2 which i thought was a great result.

We watched tv for a bit after the match before going to bed.

Tuesday work was a good day, i was mainly finishing things off that i had left over from Monday. Tuesday evening me and Kieron sat and watched tv again. Kieron was really tired after his day at work so we just relaxed.

Wednesday work was still a bit hectic but i managed to sort everything out. In the evening me and Kieron went down to mums to giver her and Gareth a hand to move her old washing machine as it had broken and she had her new one ready to put in its place. Kieron and Gareth managed to move the machines about. We were there for about 20 mins before going back home to get something to eat. Before going back to the flat Kieron wanted to go to Choices Videos to see what was out.

We ended up getting Superbad and Family Guy: Blue Harvest (the Star Wars spin off!). We also got a packet of malteasers to munch on.

We got home and Kieron started the tea and i put on Superbad. Its fairly funny, if you've seen '40 Year Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up' you'll proably like this film as well (mainly because its directed by the same people!).

We then decided to watch Family Guy which was just as funny. Aparantly they are going to do all six star wars films and turn them into one-off Family Guy films which to be honest i can't wait for!

Thursday work was actually quite quiet. Most people were out of the office so everybody was enjoying the peacefulness. Actually Thursday was what i call a 'Jelly Day'. Have you ever had a day where it feels like everything is happening in front of, as if you were watching what was going on rather than taking place in it? No......ok just me then!

Thursday evening Kieron played on his Xbox whilst i did some general tidying up before sitting down and watching tv.

Friday was the start of mine and Kieron's long weekend. As it was going to be Kieron's birthday on Sunday we decided to have a couple of days off.

I got up and had a shower and then did some washing followed by doing a bit of vacuuming. Kieron chilled out on his xbox for a bit before he decided to have a shower and help me do some tidying and cleaning.

We then decided to go over to Shirley to Argos, Kieron wanted to have a look at getting a proper knife set and i wanted to buy 'Cluedo' as it was something we could play at Steve and Natalie's. Kieron couldn't find a knife set that he liked or one that was in stock adn they hadn't got Cluedo. So we left Argos and walked up to Toys 'R' Us. I haven't been in Toys 'R' Us for years. When i was little it was the only shop that mum would buy our games or toys from. She would stnad outside waiting for the doors to open to get her hands on the Christmas presents we wanted. It was the best store ever.

But now its crap! Seriously its not only expensive but its just way out of its time, which in some respect i think is quite sad!!

Anyway me and Kieron looked up and down at all of their board games and managed to find Cluedo. Kieron had a quick look at the Xbox and PS3 games before buying Cluedo and then going home.

We bought a bottle of wine each for later in the evening. I watched Big Brother Celebrity Hijacked the live eviction whilst Kieron played on his xbox for a bit.

Saturday was a busy day, even though Kieron's birthday was Sunday we decided to celebrate it on Saturday as we were meeting up with some mates etc. In the morning we just did some washing up and that before getting ready to go out to the pub.

I rang Gareth to see if wanted to join us (to which he agreed) so i went and picked him up. We decided to go to the Lifford Curve as we hadn't been there for a while. It was actually very quite, we went in, got some drinks and looked at the menu. Kieron and Gareth both opted for a curry and i had lasagne.

The food was good and it was shortly followed by a few more pints. We then went back to mums to see nan & grandad. But me and Kieron didn't stay long as we were going over to Steve and Natalie's.

I took Cluedo round and we had a few games of that. We had our little chats as usual and just had some fun!! It was a good night although me and Kieron called it a night around midnight.

Sunday was a chilled day. Kieron spent the morning on his xbox whilst i caught up on some programmes i had missed. We went and did our shopping, came back and unloaded it and hen went down to Kieron's mum and dad's for Sunday lunch. We stayed there a couple of hours and then came back home and relaxed.

I then later went down to see Nanny Evans as usual and dad was back from skiing so he was telling me all about his trip.

So on to yesterday it was mine and Kieron's last day off. We chilled out in the morning and then got ready to go in Town. I had some vouchers from Christmas and decided that i wanted to have a look round to see what i could buy.

I ended up in Republic and bought a nice warm jacket and some cool jeans. Kieron looked round at some of the game shops and then we went and had a look round Waterstones for a new book but he couldn't find anything he fancied.

We then had a cup of coffee and a muffin at Starbucks (as Kieron couldn't resist the smell of the muffins) and then set off for home.

When we got back Kieron put the tea on and we both sat down to relax.

Well i think that about covers it for now so cheerio!!

"No You Can't Photocopy Your Arse!"

Hello once again to my weekly update,

So I start with last Monday and work was a bit of a drag but i managed to get through it and i was soon on the bus back home.

Monday evening Kieron finished reading his book and i watched my usual stuff on tv.

Tuesday work seemed a bit brighter, in my lunch hour i walked into town to get Kieron another book to read and i decided to do the Lottery (just incase someone above thought it was my turn to win big!).

Tuesday evening Kieron started reading his new book and i updated my MP3 player, left it charging and watched tv.

Wednesday work was very frustrating, everything either broke down or needed restarting, our I.T people were in our offices for most of the day trying sort out all the different problems, at 5.30pm i left work and felt really exhausted by it all.

That evening i decided to play on my organ for a bit as i haven't played it in ages, i was a little bit rusty to start with but i was ok in the end.

Thursday i got to work and suddenly remembered about my lottery tickets. I got onto the national lottery website and realised ..........

...... I WON!!!!!!

£10! I rang Kieron at lunch time and he just laughed! During the day i was very pro-active and got alot of awkward and little jobs out of the way.

Thursday evening me and Kieron watched tv and then randomly decided to listen to loads of old CD albums we hadn't heard in ages, its quite shocking to hear how music has changed in the last decade.

Friday was a busy day, there wasn't many people in the office, which to be honest wasn't a bad thing.

Armstrong Burton had bought a new photocopier which also scans, prints, colour prints and faxes all in one and we were getting their old one.

Harley (the i.t guy!) was going to ring me when the photocopier people and himself were on their way. So at 11am the door rang and it was the photocopier people (so where was my phone call Harley!) They clambered up the stairs with the huge machine and started plugging it in.

It's gone in the same position as our old photocopier however its a lot bigger so they turned the machine 90 degrees. However the front of the machine is behind the door, so to get to it you have to close the door, but if you do that and somebody from upstairs comes in a) they won't know you're there and b) you'll get plunged in the back with the door handle - Nice!

Harley kept ringing me and Paul up to help get the situation sorted (but it didn't help by the fact Harley couldn't get to our offices because they're new machine kept breaking - no surprises there!)

Eventually the photocopier people left us alone and Harley planned to come in next week to set it up with all the other bits and bobs!!

Paul then realised that the photocopier people hadn't shown us how to use the photocopier so me and Paul spent a good 30 minutes working it all out (as this new one is digital and touch-screen and our other one had so many buttons it makes Nasa's command centre look easy!)

Once it was all in order we decided to test it to see how well it copies, whilst doing that Adam and Paul had a lovely conversation about which of their body parts they could photocopy (hence the title!)

Friday evening i picked up a bottle of wine for me and Kieron seen as though we had both had hectic days. Although before i could get settled i had to pop down to my nans for a bit to say farewell to dad as he was off on his annual lads skiing trip. I stayed for about an hour and then went back home to watch tv.

Saturday morning i had a shower and helped Kieron tidy up as the place was a mess. I did some washing and then went down to mums.

I had my cake and a glass of wine and then left a bit earlier than usual as me and Kieron were going to see Alien vs Predator: Requiem at the cinema.

I had never seen the first one and was a bit worried that it was going to follow on but it didn't. It was a fairly good film, mainly jumpy rather than scary and it had a good ending which will hopefully lead to the third film.

After the film we went straight round to Steve and Natalie's house. We ordered a chippy and then played Cranium for a bit as there wasn't much else to do. We had a good night always a laugh as usual. Me and Kieron left about midnight as we were both quite tired.

Sunday was a relaxing day, me and Kieron went and did the shopping, came back and then started our Sunday dinner.

In the afternoon Kieron was looking at games and gadgets on the internet whilst i watched some crap on tv, but it wasn't long before i went down to my nans for tea as usual.

I came back home about 10pm to find that Kieron was watching the first Alien vs Predator film on Channel 4 +1. So i sat down and watched it with him.

And i think that just about does it for this week! Cheerio

All Work And No Play!

Hello, hello my fellow bloggers

Well the past week hasn't really been that exciting to be honest. Last Monday at work saw a whole lot of new planning applications that would be going out through the week.

Monday's application was to Manchester. My day was spent sorting out drawings, filling in forms and bundling the whole lot together.

Monday evening was spent watching tv and Kieron started to read his book that my mum bought him for Christmas. We also found out that Stuart and Becky have havd a baby boy

Tuesday was another application this one was for London Borough of Hillingdon. That was a bit more complicated as they wanted so many drawings. The package was so big it had to be split into three sections for it to go through the post!

Derek Burton also came in to see us for a short while and he delivered our new and improved business cards. They look very snazzy and i'm very proud of mine!

Tuesday evening again more telly and sorting out the rubbish to put out for the bin men the next morning.

Wednesday and work was really slow, i had to re-submit drawings for an application which had gone out before Christmas and the Council wanted more information. Harley from ABG came over to help fix some problems on our computers, he was here most of the afternoon and he still get everything finished.

Wednesday evening more telly (I know it sounds boring but i'm not really in the mood to be doing any thing else!) Kieron played some Call of Duty 4 with his mates for most of the evening but then came and joined me to watch Big Brother.

Thursday another really slow day and no more planning applications (woohoo!). In my lunch break i walked into town to get Kieron a new hat to wear for work as our washing machine had ruined his other one.

Thursday evening me and Kieron watched Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. We were both really bored and we have wathced film before but it was something to do.

Ahhh at last Friday. Work was a bit better time didn't seem to drag on so slowly. Peter and some of the lads were going over to Armstrong Burton's offices for the team meeting but some of us decided not to go (mainly because there was no point!).

Just before leaving work i suddenyl realised i had left my brolly at home and when i looked out of the window it was hammering down with rain but it wasn'y just rain, no it was snowing aswell. I tried to walk as fast as i could, but it didn't matter as i still got soaked getting to my bus stop.

As i was on the bus home i tried ringing Kieron so that he could pick me up from the bus stop. I rang and rang and rang with no answer (i was not impresed).

I finally got to the terminus and i wasn't looking forward to getting off, the bus stop was crammed with Chavs so i kindly asked the bus driver if i could wait on the bus to see if i could get a response from Kieron. The kind bus driver siad he was leaving in 5 minutes but i could until he went. So i rang and rang and rang - it was no use. So i got off and started walking up the road i got to the corner when i saw lights flashing at me and a horn beeping - KIERON!!!!

I literally ran across the road without even considering the traffic, dived in the car and turned the heater up!

I was so cold and miserable we decided to get a chinese takeaway. Kieron played a bit of Call of Duty 4 and i watched all my soaps and the live eviction of Big Brother (yes its sad but i don't care!).

Kieron came and joined me about 10pm, we had a little drink, watched more tv and then went to bed.

Saturday was a good day i got up fairly early and had a shower and then went ovewr to mums as we were going into Solihull. I had been given £30 M&S vouchers and wanted to get some new undies etc.

I got to mums for just gone 9pm and we headed over to Solihull, parked in Touchwood and wandered over to M&S. We had a good look round and i got to spend my vouchers. We then went into Dolcis aand i bought some flat shoes for the summer. Not only were they more reduced than i thought but they also gave me a £5 gift voucher.

Mum had a quick look arounf BHS and then we went back to the car to go do the food shopping. It took me ages to find a parking space at Tescos, but i finally found one. We did our shopping and mae our way back home.

Mum stored my frozen stuff whilst i stayed at mums to see nan & grandad. We had our cake and glass of wine, and it was soon time for me to go home.

Kieron had invited his mate Jim round they were playing on the PS2 so i decided to have a lie-down on the bed as i was knackered.

For the rest of the evening Kieron and Jim played on the Xbox and i could watch tv - even though there wasn't much on.

Sunday was a fairly good day although i didn't feel particularly well, my stomach was very uneasy and i kept falling asleep. Kieron cooked a lovely lamb sunday dinner which i thoroughly enjoyed although my stomach didn't think so.

Kieron spent the afternoon reading his book and i watched some property and holiday programmes.

Later that afternoon Emily and Jim called in as they are starting to look for a flat/house together and wanted to ask us some questions about getting a mortgage and how we did it. We had a nice chat and i think we helped them settle all of the issues that they had.

After they had gone i fell asleep on the sofa again and Kieron (bless him) got our spare duvet and covered me up. I was out for a while but still felt a bit shakey afterwards.

We watched some tv and then finally went to bed.

Well that's it for now, cheerio!

What Am I Doing?

Hello there people

Well this will be a short post from me this week as i have already blogged Monday and Tuesday on my last blog (see below) so i will finish the week off.

So Wednesday 2nd January and it was my first day back at work. My alarm went off at 6.45am and what a shock to the system that was!!

I started to get ready and for the first 20 minutes of me getting up i started to forget what i was doing and what i needed, but with a cup of tea down me i was finally ready.

I got to work and switched on my computer and started to feel miserable. I know it's greedy but i wanted another week (or two) off from work, Christmas holiday's went too quickly!

Everyone shortly followed me in and we all greeted each other and chit-chatted about what we had all done. There wasn't really that much work to do so the day went by fairly slowly for me. I spoke to Kieron at lunch-time and he was feeling the same as i was, so i tried to cheer him up as much as possible.

That evening me and Kieron just watched tv whilst consuming some of the last of our Christmas alcohol stash!!!

Thursday work was just the same really slow and tiring, and i couldn't wait to go home. Thursday evening Kieron played on Call of Duty 4 with his mates, all i could hear was screaming and shouting at the tv, he says its fun to play!

I sat and watched my soaps and then i watched the first episode of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack. They have a bunch of youngsters (aged between 18-21) who all have a skill or a talent, but everyday a Celebrity comes into the studio and becomes Big Brother for the day. They can get the housemates to do whatever they like and it's very funny!

Matt Lucas (Vick Pollard, Margarie Doors from Little Britain) was the first Hijacker but at the moment it's Ian Wright.

Friday work was slow again and i couldn't wait to get home. Me and Kieron had a chinese for tea which was lovely, i sat and played Mario & Sonic on my Wii for abit before watching some random telly.

Saturday was a nice day, i did some tidying up and some washing, then i went down to mum's as usual although mum wasn't feeling very well.

I left mum's about 5pm to get back so i could watch Villa vs Man U in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. It was a fairly slow game in my opinion, Villa was playing safe (although i don't blame, not with our record against Man U) but unfortunatley that went out of the window around the 80 minute mark when Wayne Rooney came on the pitch. Man U ended up winning 2-0, better luck next time!

My good friend Becky was going to pop round in the evening but she wasn't feeling very well. Me and Kieron had spaghetti Bolognaise for tea and then decided to go to the cinema. We went to see I Am Legend with Will Smith, which has been given poor reviews but we wanted to make our own minds up and to be honest it was fairly good. Me and Kieron certainly enjoyed it and there are a few morals to be learnt from the film.

When we got back we watched some tv and then went to bed.

Sunday was another relaxing day, we went and did the shopping and then started our sunday lunch. We had bought a small joint of lamb and it was very tasty!!

For the rest of the afternoon i just lay about doing sod all until it was time to go to nan's for some tea.

I think i will leave there for now viewers, so cheerio

Festive Fun - Welcome to 2008!!!!

Hello there my festive fellowers and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!!!!

Well now i'm sorry that i haven't blogged for a couple of weeks but since i finished work and have been at home, the modem has been permanently fixed to Kieron's Xbox and i haven't had the chance to steal it so i could up date so my apologies but however i am back!!!!!!

So the fun begins with Monday 17th December - my last week at work. I was looking forward to finishing the week 'cos it meant that Christmas would be nearly upon us.

Monday also started the countdown of Mince Pies. Everyday we had a good couple of boxes of mince pies that people started bringing in! Now i've never liked mince pies, so i was offered one but kindly refused it. But that wasn't enough because i was then challenged to eat one - now i'm not one to turn down a challenge!

If i could eat one mince pie then my filing would be done for me and if i didn't eat the mince pie then i would have make extra cups of tea and coffee! So i chse my victim from it's box, and was placed for 30 secongs in the microwave and then ...........

.......... I ATE IT!!!! But to my surprise it wasn't that bad, in fact i even dare say that i now like mince pies!!!!

Tuesday was still quite slow but we were all having a laugh. At 5.30pm we all popped next door for a drink i stated for about an hour adn headed off home 'cos i was knackered.

Wednesday was pretty boring so on to Thursday. Work was still being quite dull but at least the week was nearly at an end. We didn't really do that much work because we were all winding down for the holidays.

Thursday evening i met up with my mates at the Reservoir so that we could exchange christmas gifts. Rosey, Dan, Emily, Jim and Richard were already there so i got a drink at sat down.
Richard gave me my pressie and it was wrapped inside a Christmas Cracker!!!! Me, Rosey and Emily were all intrigued so we decided we would open Richard's gift. We all had a bracelet that Angi had made which are really sweet and then i got the gift that was already inside my cracker (which was a bar of soap!) emily got little candles and Rosey got very nice little decorative box!
We stayed until about half 10 and then decided to head for home!
Friday and it was our last day at work!!! YIPPEE!! It was the last day at school because we didn't do any work. I sat upstairs with lads all day and we were all just chatting and messing about on the internet. To my surprise the day just flew by and it was time to go home! I said my goodbyes for everyone and set off for the bus.
Friday evening me and Kieron had a bottle of wine and watched tv before going to bed.
Saturday was a busy, busy day as i had some other pressies to deliver. I got up nice and early to begin my days work. I started off by having a nice shower, then i tidied up the living room and the kitchen and did a spot of cleaning. Then i put a load of washing on and disappeared down to Sainsbury's to pick up a few bits and bobs.
I came back, wrapped up the Christmas prezzies that i would be delivering put them in my car and set off. So the plan was -
  • Get petrol

  • Deliver prezzie to Sophie Lake and drop birthday card for her sister Rosie (her birthday is the 24th December!)
  • Go to mums
  • Leave mum's and go over to Emily's to pick up pressie she had forgotten to give me

  • On way home drop prezzies to Rosey who was kindly going to drop them off at Richard's (as i forgot to take them with me when we went to the pub!)

But it wasn't going to be that simple! Oh no! I set off and called in at my local garage but they had closed off most of the pumps as the were filling up and had only left 2 pumps. My petrol light was on so i didn't risk going somewhere else so i had to wait. Eventually the petrol re-filler person opened two more pumps, the car in front of me went to one and i went to the other however the pump was on the wrong side for my car so i decided to reverse into the space. Ok so i wasn't perfectly straight my nose of my car was sticking out slightly but i did a bloody good job seen as though i hadn't got alot of room to manoeuver because of the petrol tanker!

So i started to fill my car up and the car next in line was a brand new Range Rover, it was huge! And i noticed that the fat, balded, middle aged idiot driving was obviously commenting about my reverse situation to his bottle-blonded, cheap, plastered make-up faced, bimbo wife! I then paid for my petrol and when i came out he had pulled up to the pump next to me and just as i reached my car he said:

"Don't you know how to drive? You haven't left me enough room!!!"

To which i replied "Yes i can drive that's how i know how to reverse, don't drive such a bloody big car if you can't handle it and when you're talking about someone try not making it so god damn obvious!" and then i i got in my car and drove off.

Still a little bit furiated my phone started to ring and ring and ring, so i pulled over and it was my brother. My mum was having new guttering put on the house and Grandad was already there helping to refit the roof on the entry. So to save Grandad time they wanted to know if i could pick nan up!!

So i did a u-turn and back i went. I picked nan up and started heading over to mum's. It was a little bit chaotic but most of the work was done when i arrived. We had come cake and a glass of wine.

I decided to leave a bit earlier so that i could go over to Sophie's at least! I got there about 4.30pm and Sophie had just got back from her nan's! I went in and had a cup of tea, her mum Lorraine was there but Rosie and Andy were out. We had a nice chat and a good catch up and i stayed about an hour before heading off home.

I got home and collapsed on the sofa for abit. A bit later on me and Kieron went over to Blockbusters to see if they had any good films out and ended up buying 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up' which are both very funny.

Sunday i had to finish off from Saturday so i got up and went over to Emily's and had a nice cup of tea and a chat and then on the way back called in at Rosey's.

When i got home Kieron was ready to do the shopping so back in the car we got and went down to Sainsbury's. We had to wait in a queue which was forced onto the Maypole Island it was really bad, so we decided not to go into Sainsbury's so we went down to the Maypole itself and did most of our shopping from the individual shops, we went to the Butcher, the Pound shop, Wilkinsons and the little Somerfield shop.

Once we got back home we unloaded the shopping and chilled out for the rest of the afternoon. A bit later i went down to nans for tea as usual.

Monday - Christmas Eve and i decided to do sod all! I had been rushing around so much i decided i didn't want to do anything. I let Kieron bring his xbox into the living room and i sat and put some new music onto my MP3 player. The day went by fairly quickly. We watched some tv in the evening, caught up with the last Top Gear (which was hilarious!) and that was about it.

CHRISTMAS DAY!!! I was so excited. This was mine and Kieron's first Christmas in our flat. We got up and got ready and then sat by the tree unwrapping our pressies, me and Kieron had bought each other clothes so we wore them! After a cup of tea and quick slice of toast we went up to mum's to see everybody. More unwrapping commenced and everyone was delighted with their presents.

So far my presents consisted of money, biscuits, vouchers, bathroom towels, a necklace, chocolate, perfume, Alan Carr Live DVD (thanks Gaz!), Mario & Sonic at the Olypic Games for the Wii (thanks again Gaz!) more chocolate and some speakers for my mobile! Not bad so far.

We stayed for a couple of hours before heading off to Kieron's mum and dad for dinner. We had a drink with them and it wasn't long before it was all served. I stuffed my face full of turkey, gravy, stuffing, pork and of course most importantly roast potatoes!

After we had finished eating and relaxing me and Kieron went home, to play Mario & Sonic. It's a very entertaining game adn a good way of exercising!!!

In the evening me and Gaz went down to Aunty Jan's to see everyone else. We all exchanged pressies and i got more vouchers, Leona Lewis CD & Dumbo DVD, Radio 1's Live Lounge CD, more money and The Jungle Book on DVD. We had a good night, Aunty Jan put some tea out and it wasn't long before I had to leave as me and Kieron were popping round Steve and Natalie's for a Christmas drink!

We only stayed for a couple of hours as i was shattered!!!

Boxing day morning, Kieron wasn't feeling to good after consuming ALOT of alcohol, so we sat and watched my Alan Carr DVD which was really funny. I then got ready to go over to nan's for a buffett lunch. Gaz and mum picked me up at 12.15pm and then went over to nan and grandads.

We had a drink and a natter whilst nan was finishing serving the dinner. We had a really good munch and grandad kept the drinks flowing (you can always rely on grandad!).

We got to the subject about past relatives etc and grandad (being slightly soused at this point) went and got some of the old photos out, which i don't mind i like things like that. Then my nan got out the pair of shoes my mum bought her when she got her first ever wage! They were purple stilettoes (the heels were about 6 inches!) and real leather - they were lovely. I couldn't get my feet in them i asked nan if she could still wear them. I helped her with the straps, she stood up and walked as if she had been wearing them for years. My 78 year old nan can wear high heels better than me! It was scary!

We left about 5pm and Gaz dropped me off home. For the rest of the evening we sat and watched the tv, before rushing down to Kieron's mum and dad as his mum was very ill, but thankfully she recovered.

Thursday the day went by with me doing bits and bobs, I went and saw nanny evans for a bit, then called into Sainsbury's to get some cat food then i went over to see nan & grandad to give them some ham. Kieron had a big joint (no bone) of ham for Christmas from work - it weighed 3 kilos! We gave a chunk to his mum and dad and we still weren't getting through it so we decided to give some to nan & grandad!

When i got back home i did some washing and vacuming and general bits and bobs really. We weren't going to do anything in the evening but Steve invited us round. Natalie had The Simpsons Game of Life for Christmas so we decided to play that. It was a bit confusing at the start but we managed and it ended up that i won!

Friday was thankfully a quiet day. Kieron was on call until 2pm so we couldn't go out anywhere just incase. I played on my Wii and Kieron was on his xbox for most of the day. In the evening we watched tv and that was about it!

Saturday i washed Kieron's uniform and overalls for him and i did some general house chores. I went round to mum's in the afternoon as usual for our wine and cake session.

A bit later we were invited back round to Steve and Natalie's as Steve wanted to have a go at Tranformers Monopoly which i had bought for Kieron and Gareth for Christmas. So we went round and set it all up and started playing only to find out that some of the property cards had been duplicated or were the wrong colour. But we managed to sort it out to finish playing.

Kieron absolutely wiped us all clean, all natalie did well to hang on as long as she did! It was a really good laugh and Natalie demanded a re-match so we were to go round on New Years Eve so that Natalie could get her revenge!

Sunday was a good day we went and did our shopping thankfully we could actually get in to Sainsbury's this time!

We got home and unloaded the shopping and i sat and watched tv for a bit. We started doing the dinner, we had lamb which was very tasty.

Then Gaz rang me and asked if we wanted a game of Transformers Monopoly, to which we said yes and so he came round. Yet again Kieron won so i have threatened him that when i borrow Cluedo off my mum i will beat him, 'cos i'm good at Cluedo!!

Me and Gaz then went down to nans for some tea and then came back to flat and we watched the new Teenage Mutant Nija Turtles film. It is quite good its more for the fans than anything else! After that Gaz went home and we went to bed.

Monday - New Years Eve. Kieron's mum and dad called round as they had a bit of news for us, they had £3,500 at Bingo! We had a little chat and Kieron was talking to them about tv's as they want to get a better one, and Kieron just mentioned that he was thinking about getting another HD tv for the spare bedroom, for his xbox. With that his dad pulled a wad of cash out of his pocket and gave Kieron £400 and told him to buy his tv! We were gobsmacked, i didn't want to accept the money but they insisted!

After they went, we decided to go and have a look. We had seen a Sony Bravia one in Sainsbury's so we started there. They hadn't got any in stock so we asked a member of staff and they didn't think they would have any more in. So off to Tesco's and they hadn't got any Kieron liked. So we popped round the corner to Curry's. There was a 32" Samsung on offer with a stand for £450. BARGAIN! So we had one of them.

We got it home and Kieron set about putting it together. It was up and running within 30mins and he was really delighted with it!.

After we had set everything up and moved boxes out of the way it was time to go round Steve and Natalie's. We took round a bottle of wine and ordered some food and set up Monopoly ready for the re-match. It was going quite well at first but it still ended up with Kieron winning although not so easily! We played two games of Monopoly and having a laugh but it was then time to watch the countdown we put the tv on and waited for Big Ben to ring. We watched the firework display and then sat pulling the left over Christmas crackers Natalie had. I got a mini stapler and a mini pack of cards and Kieron got a pen and little water pistol!

We stayed for another hour and then went home to bed!

So yesterday, the 1st of January 2008! I can't believe how quickly the last year has gone. It was a quiet day as it was our last day off before going back to work.

I did some cleaning and started my work stuff together ready. In the afternoon i dropped round Kieron's old tv to mums as the one she has is old and rubbish.

Gareth set about unplugging everything and moved the old tv into the hall. We then started carrying the new tv from the car (although it was bloody heavy!)

We put the stand together and gave it a clean and Gareth started connecting everything again. It was soon up and running and they really liked so i left them to it.

When i got back Kieron had started doing some tea so i set about putting away the Christmas tree and taking down my Christmas cards (it was really sad!).

We watched some tv for the rest of the evening and then sadly i'm now back work typing this blog!

Wow what a long blog!! So until next time cheerio!
