If I Ever See Goosewing Grey Again........D'oh!

Hello there peeps

I'm sorry for the delay in blogging but last week i was off from work and therefore spending my time wisely and therefore delaying me in blogging!

My last blog left you Wednesday 18th July so i shall carry on from there (if i can remember!). So Thursday 19th July was a quiet day at work but i was looking forward to that evening i was seeing my good old chums Rosey, Dan, Emily and Jimbob!

I told a few blogs ago that Rosey and Emily were both 21 this year, Rosey had a surprise party but we had done something totally different for Emily - we made her a video! A kind of 'This Is You Life' thing. We have been making this video for MONTHS!!

I would say from May up until when the guys went away we have been doing something towards this video, so all those times i said i hadn't been doing anything - well i lied, i had!! But i obviously couldn't tell you incase Emily read it on here!!!!

Anyway so Thursday evening was the premier! We all arrived at 8pm, Jim had brought snacks and drink and Dan provided us with glasses and dishes and Popcorn!!! So we sat down and played the Video, Emily had no idea what Dan was putting on until it started and she was laughing within seconds!! We had a great night and Emily loved the prezzie (thank god!), although time was ticking on and i had to go so i could get up for work!

So Friday which was (as i'm sure you'll agree!) the wettest, horrible day ever!!! Apparantly we had a month's worth of rain in just one day! Anyway work was quiet, and everyone was miserable because of the weather so good old Dave decided we could go at 4pm instead of 5pm incase we got caught in the traffic (which was bound to happen!!). I was quite lucky i got on my bus about 4.20pm and the traffic was moderatley light and i got home just gone 5pm, which totally shocked Kieron when he got home at 6pm.

That evening we had a bottle of wine and watched a couple of dvd's as there was not alot else to do.

Saturday was a good day, i had previously bought an ab roller from Argos and it wouldn't got together properly and i thought they had drilled some holes in the wrong places, so i took it round to Gaz to see if he could help. After he had had a look at it he took it apart and managed to sort it out for me (never let a woman do a man's job!!) but it was weird and difficult to use so we took it apart (again) and took it back to Argos and i exchanged it for some exercise steps which are fab and strangely fun to use!

We went back to the flat for a bit and Gaz played on the xbox with Kieron but he had to leave as he was going to a bbq but i would be seeing him later as it was one of the skiing crew's 21st. We had been invited to Sophie Lake's and her boyfriend Grant's joint 21st birthday at Rubery British Legion. I got a lift down to Dad's for about 7.30pm and Gaz would met us there as he was driving.

We got to the party for about 8.30pm and we were soon greeted by Sophie who was thrilled to see us, she introduced me to some of her friends who were really nice. The disco was soon underway and the drinks were flowing. Jon (Rosie's boyfriend) was hilarious, he got drunk really quickly, which was classic entertainment!!!

We had some grub, and we sang happy birthday but the evening was finally at an end. We left at 1am and poor Andy and Lorraine were still trying to get stuff in their car! As soon as i got home i went straight to bed!!

Sunday i didn't really do alot we did the food shopping and that was about it. I went down to nan's as usual for tea. It was also mum's birthday, me and Gaz had no idea what to get her so decided on taking her shopping one weekend. Later that evening Mum texted me to let me know about her flight as she was coming home from a week in Majorca, and me and gaz had said we would pick her up from the airport although her flight had been delayed by 30mins. We went back to Gaz's were i dropped off my car and then we headed over to the airport, we had just reached the Coventry Road when mum texted me to say she had landed and was getting her luggage.

The airport was still chaotic with Police as they were still on alert after the incodent at Gatwick airport a couple of weeks ago, after barging stupid people out of the way we parked up, grabed mum and were on the move again. Mum was telling us of her holiday and it sounded like she had a lot of fun. We got back home and i carried on back to my flat where i went straight to bed.

Ahhhhh Monday my first day off - and i had a nice lie in. We decided that we weren't going to do alot, Kieron was on his xbox for most of the day and i played on my organ. We watched some tv and Kieron invited his friend Jim up for the evening.

Tuesday we went over to B&Q, we got some picture hooks and we got a new curtain rail and light fitting for the bedroom and then we quickly popped into Solihull to get some netting. We got home and Kieron put some pictures we had in the spare room, and we did the light fitting in the bedroom. For the rest of the day i watched some dvd's while Kieron played on his xbox.

Wednesday we decided we needed to paint the kitchen as last time we painted the paint didn't go on very well and left smears and smudges. So we tidied most stuff out of our way and put sheets on the floor and started. We decided to go a little bit lighter than before to brighten it up a little. I hadn't done very much painting and my phone rang, it was Gaz. He was really bored and wondered what we were doing, as soon as i said we were painting the kitchen he was ringing the doorbell before i knew it!!

As i was painting away a sudden wave of horror grew over me........

***bit of info***

I work for an Architect's practice and when we do schemes and so forth we provide details of pretty much everything, we have to do specifications so that the entire team know's what should be done and in these specifications (and listed on our drawings) are details of colours. Now out of our Client's to two biggest culprits are Segro (formally known as Slough Estates) and Selco Trade Centres, both of which we do many warehouses and industrial units for and they always quote 'Goosewing Grey' (they do have 'Merlin' and 'Raven' grey as back-ups!). Goosewing Grey on every bloody drawing or specification or data sheets - it's everywhere!!! I said to the guys at work (who also get annoyed with Goosewing Grey) that if i ever see or hear Goosewing Grey i'll go mad!!!

***End of info, back to blog***

....... I had painted my kitchen GOOSEWING BLOODY GREY!!!!!

Kieron and my brother thought this was hilarious, but we carried on regardless. It took us over an hour with doing a couple of extra coats but we got it done. After cleaaring up Gaz helped Kieron on Forza Motor Sport for the xbox, you can create your own designs and colours for your cars, some of them are REALLY good and it's not very easy to do at all. Kieron was trying to put 'Hot Rod's' colours on to a Lambourghini Countach and Gaz helped him finish it and i must admit they did it really really well!

Gaz left about 6pm and we just chilled out afterwards.

Thursday was a good day, we decided we were going to Warwick Castle and because we decided to do that, it tipped it down! We got to Warwick Castle about 9.45am and waited in the car as it didn't open until 10am. It was raining lightly while we waited but as soon as we stepped out of the car the heavens opened, whilst walking up to the castle we got soaked. We got our tickets and headed for the gift shop as i had had a brillaint idea that they would sell an umbrella (which they did and it's a really good one as well!) so armed with our umbrella we stepped out and walked down to the main part of the castle, we went all round the 'living areas' of the castle including the main hall, we visited the dungeons (which were creepy!), we went to see the birds that do the falconry display, although we missed them doing it and we also did this Ghost Alive thing you go around the tower and actors jump out at you and tell you the story of whoever it was who was murdered. It was ok, it was more funny than scarey!!! We were there for most of the day and weather did get a little better!

When we got back Gareth stayed and played on the xbox with Kieron and then left as he was gong to the pub as usual! That evening i too was going to the pub, i met up with Rosey, Dan and Emily at the Reservoir. We had a good catch up we were there until 11pm but sadly we had to head off as Emily had work the following morning. We said our goodbyes and i headed off until i noticed the signs telling me they had shut off the road going past the reservoir as it had flooded due to the weather so i carried on going towards Solihull/Cheswick Green, eventually there's a road on the left called Lady Lane and that brings you past the Red Lion in Earlswood so it was no problem.

Friday was an exciting day as we were doing a Cinema Marathon, Gaz came up to the flat about 11.30 and we headed over to the AMC in fiveways, it's a really big cinema with 12 screens and they are all very good size screens as well. We were going to watch Transformers, me and Kieron had cheated a little and had already seen it on copy but we wanted to see it at the cinema aswell as it was really good. Gaz really enjoyed it, i think it took him back to memories of his childhood. So after Transformers we went to see the Simpsons Movie. That was really funny and i can't believe how much stuff they were allowed to get away with in the film, it was certainly aimed more at older children and adults.

After the cinema we were hungry and called in to Maccy D's on the way home, Gaz didn't stop long as he was going to an engagement party. That evening i played on my organ for most of the night whilst Kieron was on his xbox.

So Saturday and the week had flown by i had my haircut and then went down to mum's as usual and saw nan and grandad. We had our usual glass of wine and cake. We had a good natter all afternoon and we left about 5pm.

I got back to the flat and Kieron was doing tea. He had been down to Sainsbury's to get some of their chicken tikka wraps off their deli counter so we had them with some rice, which was yummy! That evening Kieron's friend Alex called in for a bit as he has just bought himself an Audi A4 (yes i know you'll be jealous Gaz!). It's light blue and it's an 04 plate, very nice! He didn't stay long as he had to get back to his girlfriend.

Sunday and my last day before i went back to work (i was not impressed!). My dad texted me to tell me that he and nan were going to Pete Whittles 60th birthday and wouldn't see me later - in a way this made me feel better as i had more time to myself.

Me and Kieron went and did the food shopping, and while we were there Kieron looked at the dvd's and decided to get The Number 23. We got home and had some lunch. We then sat down with a couple of beers and watched the film. It stars Jim Carrey and it is one of his best serious roles i've seen him in.

It's a major conspiracy that the number 23 is the sign of the devil (2/3 = .666), and that basically it can be found anywhere, in dates, names everything. Jim Carrey is a guy that reads this book all about the number 23 and he staarts becoming obsessed with it. There is a really good twist at the end so if you get the chance to watch it - DO!!!!

For the rest of the day i watched some F.R.I.E.N.D.S episodes and Kieron invited his friend Steve round.

An that was end of my holiday, so i shall leave it there for now peeps!!

"Maybe its the Nargules!"

Hello there again people, yes its that time again!!!!

So last Monday is where this blog starts (which is probably no different to how i normally start but oh well!) So Monday morning nice and early at work, the day went fairly quickly (which is good) and before i knew it, it was 5.30pm YIPPEE!!! Kieron had done Spag Bol for tea (which is my fav!!) We had a really nice night, he had also bought a bottle of wine to have with our meal and we spent most of the evening chatting away about our days. Kieron isn't one for "opening up" and he really spent a good hour or so just getting things off his mind, mainly which was work, and he also told me about his plans for decorating our flat as we are having a week off together from Monday 23rd and we are doing a little bit of painting around the place.

Tuesday was a long, long, long, long, long, long, day at work, it seemed it would never end but finally it did!!! (Woohoo!) I got home only to find the kitchen full with steam and pots and pans everwhere and all i could hear was Kieron swearing! The new potatoes he had bought from Sainbury's from our week shop (for some reason) decided they weren't going to cook and apparantly they had so far taken just under an hour and still weren't ready. So he dumped the potatoes, we both ate the chicken pieces (which were cooked) and then he went down the road to the chippie, i had savaloy and chips and Kieron had chicken meat and chips!!

Wednesday was an ok day! On my lunchbreak i had a text from my cousin Emily (who lives in Uttoxeter/Stafford) telling me she had come into Birmingham for a shop round and wanted to know if i could meet up for a bit. So i quickly ate my sarnies and strolled into town. I met Emily and her friend outside Superdrug in the Bullring we had a wonder round H&M, Next and HMV (whilst catching up on all the goss!) but sadly for me time was running out and i had to get back to work So i said my fairwells and headed back. It was great to see Emily again, i don't get to see her and the family often, last time i saw them was at my 21st last year.

Thursday was a bit of a random day, i had to sort a delivery at work as there was to be a postal strike on Friday and we needed to make sure that we got some drawings down to a Client in London. So i phoned my dad, who randomly works part-time for a delivery company. See what happens is: if you've got a big parcel or lots of parcels they will deliver them by van or car. However if you've got a small parcel they will take it by Motorbike, therefore also being able to dodge the traffic!! So i rang dad and got the number, and spoke to a very cheerful and helpful man and arranged for them to pick the drawings up at 3pm, which they did! Great!

The rest of the day was boring, but i was home soon enough. Thursday evening was spent watching the tv. We watched Most Haunted and basically had a laughing fit over how fake some of the "ghost" noises were!

Ahhhhh yes Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday - i love Friday's and it also went fast at work. It was soon time to go home and i practically ran down the road as me and Kieron were going to see the new Harry Potter movie, so i needed to get changed etc. I got home for just gone 6pm and there was a chowing at 7.45 at AMC. So i had shower and got changed and we headed off at 7pm. We stopped off at Maccie D's for some grub (well we haven't had one in ages!!!) Kieron had a double cheeseburger and fries and i had a Priemer and fries, as soon as we had scoffed that we headed for the cinema. On our way i texted mum as she was going on holiday and i wouldn't see her for a week. She was flying out to Glasgow to see Rob and then Saturday they would be flying out to Majorca!

We got there for 7.30pm and waited in queue, but it was moving at a good speed (well good enough for me not to complain about!). We got our seats and waited for it to start. It was a really good movie and quite funny in places (although not as good as the Goblet of Fire!). It was quite late when we got home so we went straight to bed.

Saturday was a good day, we went to Sainsburys and did our shopping instead of the usual Sunday as Kieron had invited Tom from work round and he was going to cook his oh-so-famous Chilli Con Carne. It took us 1 hour and 30 minutes becuase of the stupid people in Sainsbury's, mums letting their 5 year olds run round like lunatics and then you've got the sweet, little dears who move at about -1 mph!

Whilst Kieron was cooking the food i started tidying up, and i did a bloody good job of it aswell, the flat has never looked so lovely. Tom arrived at 4pm (after having some extra directions from Kieron) and Kieron quickly showed him around, he said how great the place was and how spacious it is! We had a chat before Kieron dished up the food. Tom was very impressed with Kieron's Con Carne as Tom thought it was me who does the cooking (oh how wrong he was!). We all had a couple of beers but Tom had to go to see his mum. He left at about 7pm but it was great to see him again.

Kieron played on his PS3 for abit and got very bored so we went over to Choices in Cotteridge to see if there were any recent films out we good buy, we had a mooch but there wasn't anything good. So Kieron, not admitting defeat, whizzed back over to Sainsbury's to see if they had got anything. It was 9.30 and Sainsbury's were closing in 30 mins so we had to be quick. They had an offer on their dvd's, 3 for £15 - Bargain! So we decided to buy 3 each. I bought the three Die Hard films and Kieron bought, V for Vendetta, Batman Begins (which he had on copy but wasn't a good copy so he decided to replace it!) and Mission Impossible 3.

As we were walking to the checkout i quickly had a browse at the CD's, so Kieron got to the checkout first, with me being the next person to be served. It was a young girl (about 18/19 years old) and i think she had a weeeeee bit of a crush for Kieron. Because we had gone to the checkout separately she didn't clock that we were together. Kieron gave her the dvd's and she noticed the V for Vendetta dvd. It was like a volcano going off because all of a sudden, with the most enthusiasm and excitement, she questioned Kieron about the dvd

Girl "Ohhhh have you ever seen this? (big smile on her face)"
Kie "Erm no i haven't"
Girl "Oh i saw it for the first time the other night and it was really good (said cheerfully)"
Kie "Oh good, i'm sure i'll enjoy it"
Girl "(who is now starring at Kieron and going redder and redder in the face) So is this the type of fime you like?"
Kie "Ermm i like allsorts to be honest i'm not that fussed!"
Girl "Oh right, yea i'm like that, i don't mind what i watch... (the sentence starts to trail off and then like another big bang) oh but i'm not a big fan of girlie films (she's now playing with her hair and still starring at Kie)
Kie (not quite sure what to say) "Right"

Kieron's card has now been swiped and all the rest of it, Kie picks up the bag with his dvd's, walks and stands at the end of the till (obviously waiting for me), Whilst Kieron was doing all this she still was watching him like a hawk (i at this point was trying really hard not to laugh). When Kieron stood at the end of the till, she was really confussed why he had stopped, and then she looked at me!!!!! Ooooooh the look she gave when she twigged, she turned from really nice, chatty girl to angry, devil woman!

I didn't get spoken to, my card was snatched out of my hand, my dvd's were almost chucked into a bag and i certainly didn't get a goodbye. We walked out of Sainsbury's and just before we got back to the car me and Kieron burst out laughing.

We got back to flat and we watched V for Vendetta, which was a good film a bit dragged on but good. After the film had finshed it was late so we went to bed.

Sunday was another good day, we had some breakfast and chilled out for a bit and then we decided to take a trip into Town. We got there for just gone 1pm and was quite quiet, which was good. Kieron went into Gamestation and traded in Call of Duty 3 for The Darkness which he was very pleased about. We then had a mooch around the shops, i was looking for some new tops. We went to Next, New Look, Select and Top Shop and there was not alot i liked. So we went outisde and walked down to Dorothy Perkins. They had a small sale on so i bought three tops and some jeans, which all in all came to £40 which was not bad at all. We were walking back towards the car and Kieron spotted Thorntons, so he bought us a bag each of Continental choccies, they were yummy!

On our way back home, Kieron invited Gaz round to have a go on his new game, which he decided to do as he was bored anyway. The lads were really enjoying themselves on the game but we were all feeling peckish so we went up to Northfield for a KFC.

A bit later Gaz had a call off Marcus who needed a hand with his stuff as he was moving in with Carl, so Gaz left about 7 and would meet me down at nans, where we both had some tea. I left just gone 10 as i was knackered, watched abit of tv with Kieron nad then went to bed ready for another week!!!!

Well you lot I shall leave it there for now!

"Take Me Home Country Roads"

Hello there bloggees
Another week has flown by, i don't like it, but anyway it's time for my latest blog.

Last Monday after having an exciting weekend it was back to work, Dave had returned from holiday (with sweeties!) and the normal routine commenced. Also the F.R.I.E.N.D.L.Y N.U.T.T.E.R.S had gone on their holiday, so i was without my friends for a week but they would be back soon enough. Work was boring as usual but at least my day went quite quick. Monday evening me and Kieron just chilled out, we had a couple of beers that were left over from the party!

Tuesday it was Rosey's 21st birthday, so i sent her a text message! Tuesday evening me and Kieron popped down to Sainsbury's 'cos we were bored and wanted to get a dvd. We decided to get American Dad. It's the same people who make Family Guy although American Dad is alot more risqué but it is really really funny!

Wednesday work was dull, but the my day was brightened up when Kieron called me on my lunch break and decided he wanted to see Die Hard 4! I was really excited, 'cos i knew it was going to be a really great film. When i got home, Kieron had been down to Sainsbury's and bought off their delicatessen counter different tubs of curry, ready to heat up and eat. I had a chicken Saag Masala and Kieron had Chicken Dupiaza, both were really nice. I got changed and we headed off to AMC in town. The film was really good, and very 'Die Hard!'. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it but it was very actioned packed and deffinatley one for my DVD collection.

Thursday work was extraodinarily quiet but really slow, so i was glad when i got home. Me and Kieron carried on watching more American Dad.

Friday, the week had flown by and Friday went zooming along aswell. In the evening i met up with my good friend Becky that i've knwon since Woodrush, she's going down to Stanstead in a few weeks to train with Ryanair to be an Air Stewardess (or now known as Cabin Crew/Attendant!) We met up at 8pm at the Reservoir and were both showing each other's cars, she hadn't seen my new Fiesta and she had just got herself a new shaped Renault Clio. We were there all evening chatting and catching up with each other's news, but we got chucked out at closing, we said our fairwells as it will be awhile since i next she her but i wish her the best of luck with her training.

I got home and Kieron and Steve were watching tv, i gave Steve a lift home as it was getting late and he was rather drunk! When i got home i went straight to bed.

Saturday i decided to have a lie-in, so i got up at 10am (yes that's late for me you lazy lot!). I had a shower and had breakfast and decided to pop over and see Rosey. The F.R.I.E.N.D.L.Y N.U.T.T.E.R.S had returned from their holiday on Friday so i decided to go over and give Rosey her birthday prezzies, i got her a Thorntons Chocolate bottle and a silver 21st birthday photo frame! She really liked them and was telling me about their holiday, it sounded like they all had a good time! I then headed over to mum's to see nan & grandad for abit, we had our usual afternoon wine and cake but i headed off at 4pm as i wanted to relax. I quickly popped down to Sainsburys as i wanted some different DVD's to watch so i bought Happy Feet (which is really good!), The Da Vinci Code (which i've seen but i really enjoyed it) and Walt Dsiney's Robin Hood!! I got back to flat and Kieron asked if Stuart could come round later that evening which was fine by me as i had my DVD's.

Stuart came round about 8pm and i asked Kieron to set up my DVD player in the spare room, which he did. I was quite content sitting their watching my films. I watched Happy Feet and then i got half way through Robin Hood and Stuart went home. So i went and sat with Kieron and watched more American Dad.

Sunday was a good day, we went over to see Kieron's mum and dad for a bit and also so Kieron could charge the battery on his Saxo. We left there and went over to pick up one of Kieron's friends, Jay, who he hadn't seen awhile. He lives in Woodgate which is at the back of Northfield, we got there for about 2ish and went over back to ours, we quickly popped into Sainsbury's (with Jay in tow) to do our weekly shopping, it was quite busy in their so we tried to get it doen as quickly as possible.
I also got a phone call form my Dad telling me that my nan wasn't feeling very good and he was going to the Symphony Hall later. So i had a Sunday night to myself and i decided i would have a peaceful one.
We got back to the flat, Kieron and Jay set the Playstation up and i sat and did some wordsearches. Jay only stayed a couple of hours as he had other things to do, so he got back on the bus home about 4. Me and Kieron had something to eat before sitting down and watching the other half of Robin Hood and some more American Dad. The evening went quite quickly and before long it was time to go to bed ready for another week.
So that's about it viewers - i will leave it there for now!

Surprise, Surprise!!!

Hello there bloggees, just another little update for you all.
My last blog left you at last Saturday, so i will continue on to last Sunday!!! A couple of blogs a go (if you can remember!) i was telling you all, that me and Kieron had gone down to the Cats Protection League to look at the kittens. We then had a home visit and we were put on the list. Last Sunday we had the call to say we could go and look around the kittens properly and if we wanted, we could have one that day!
We were both excited, we arrived at 11am and were greeted by the lovely staff and were shown around. We went into all the different pens and spent a good couple of minutes in with the kittens while the lady was telling us about that particular litter of kittens.
We original went with the idea that we would have a boy cat, but that was soon washed out of heads when most of the kittens we looked at were girls!
There were a number of cute kittens, some were quite scared and nervous and some were more playful and relaxed.
After we had looked at all the kittens we were taken into a little room called the 'Socialising Room'. There was one more kitten we had to see before trying to make a decision. She was part Persian and was really friendly at first but started getting a little bit agressive and nasty so we goodbye to her!!!
They then asked us if there were any kittens we liked and if there was, they would bring them to us so we could spend a bit more time with them so we could try and make a decision.
We had a really long think and we asked to see the very first kitten we had seen that day. It was a little girl, i thought at first she was black but she was actually what they call Tortoise Shell (Tortie for short) its basically a mixture of black, brown/tan and white!
When we saw her she was very relaxed and seemed happy to be around people. We spent a good 10 minutes or more and decided we would have her! The staff were very helpful and generous. They sorted us out with a cat carrier, litter tray and bowls, litter and some food for her.
They also had her micro chipped which saved us a trip to the vets! We filled in the forms and made a donation of £50 - now some of you might say that's exspensive for a cat but the Cats Protection League had already done her first part of her vaccinations (which costs about £30-40) they gave us their own food and litter (bearing in mind the Cats Protection League only survive on donations as they are a charity) adn they gave us a cat carrier and litter tray and bowls (again not that cheap!!!).
The Cats Protection staff had already named her Faith, which we thought was cute and different but we call her Faye for short. She's a right little terror, she loves to play and she's so inquisitive!
So last week i had to take Monday off from work because of my IBS, but i was back on my feet on Tuesday! The week went quite quick, Dave was away on holiday and i had booked Friday off aswell!
Now during the last couple of weeks, when i said i haven't been doing much well i partly lied, the majority - yes i haven't been doing much but those few days here and there i have spent with my good friend Emily as we were organising a surprise party!
Now i obviously i couldn't tell you what i was doing because Rosey (who the party was for!) would have found out and that wouldn't have been much of a surprise!
It all started with an idea of mine, Rosey had organised a holiday to celebrate her 21st birthday and i couldn't go due to money, the flat and work. So i decided i wanted to do something so that i to was involved with celebrating her birthday and that's when i ecided we would have a surprise party!
I quickly got Emily involved 'cos i would need some help and she thought it was a brillaint idea! So due to Emily's organising (which by the way Rosey do you remember you going shopping with Emily and she picked up some party invites and she said they were for Niall - she lied they were your invites!!!)
Friday me and Emily had the day off work so we could go and get the shopping and all the bits and pieces, some stuff we could use the left overs from Emily's party. We went over to Asda near Emily's and got the food, and then we went back to mine to start sorting through the baby photo's we had printed off of Rosey (due to the help of her mum and dad). We also picked up some balloons and a pinnata (those toys you fill with sweets and then smash it till the sweets fall out - actually that sounds pointless! Hmmm!).
We had had a busy day but at 5pm i took Emily back home, i came back and started tidying up the flat and i also cut the grass with my new strimmer.
So Saturday arrived, i got up nice and early finished the tidying up, and started blowing up balloons (with the help of Kieron!). Time was flying by and by the time i had finsihed the clearing and sorting and blowing etc it was 12pm! ARGHH!!! I hadn't even started the food!!!!
This was when panick set in - i had 2 hours to sort the food out, have a shower, vaccum the floor, put the decorations up, re-arrange the living room etc etc!
The food was just simple buffett food so it wasn't too bad, while i was doing that my wonderful boyfriend vaccumed for me and he even cleaned the bathroom (yes i was impressed!). it was coming up to 1pm ad most things were gettign sorted so the panciking was sort of over! Kieron's friend Jim had arrived so i got him helping straight away, who was followed by Angi and Richard! Whilst they were putting the balloons up i went and had a quick shower and got changed! Before Rosey's mum and dad arrived (which they 20 mins later!)
Meanwhile...... Emily and Jim had to go to the Jewellery Quarter to get Emily's Engagement ring re-sized so they were slightly delayed, anyway. They went straight over to pick Dan up and then over to Rosey's. As she got in the car she was blind folded and off they went. They decided to do a detour to try and put Rosey off, so they headed towards Emily's and then came down the motorway to mine! With a couple of extra loops around some islands and Dan playing music in her ears she was totally confussed!
They got to mine just gone 2pm, Emily texted me to let me know they were outside so i went and opened the door for them ready to walk straight-in, they stood Rosey in my living room door and there we all were!!
She was so shocked and couldn't say anything! We had a great afternoon, eating food and we also sang "Happy Birthday" as we had bought her a cake. We played the pinnata when it had stopped raining which was hilarious as Jim and Dan kept moving it out of people's way!
Later that evening we played on my Wii and had a game of Atmosphere. Although sadly it was getting late and poor Emily had work the next day! So we tidied up all the stuff, as soon as everybody left, i went straight to bed!
Sunday me and Kieron decided we were going to do bugger all! I was still shattered from all the running around the previous day and so was Kieron! We went and did the shopping and we quickly nipped over to Argos in Shirley, we bought the cat a little cat basket and a scratch pad stand. We got it all home and had a couple of beers.
Later that evening i went down to nan's as usaul, but i left early with Gaz to help him out with some school work he had to get done!
Well that's pretty much it for now, so until my next my blog, TTFN!
