And So It Continues....

Hello there bloggers,
Well then, after i left you with my last blog about ladies night etc. My birthday week(s) didn't stop there.
Last Monday (20th) I returned back to work as normal, i started checking my emails and i had received one from Peter and David (the partners!) asking everyone to stop by for a drink after work. This was very unusual, Peter and David have never invited us all for a drink and even if they had they would have most likely had one at lunch.
I accepted the invite along with everyone else, we were going next door to the Tarnished Halo. A while later Adam came downstairs to speak to me. He thought there was something going on and that they would be announcing something at the pub. This got me thinking, but i didn't see why they would take us for a drink instead of just telling us all at work.
The day came and went and we all flooded to the pub. We sat at two large tables and David bought the first round (i had a Murphy's as they don't sell Guiness!)
During the course of our first round, Mikey struck up courage to ask why we had decided to come for a drink, with a smile on his face Peter told everyone that he didn't get chance to come to my party as he had already accepted another invite, with which he felt rather guilty and decided to bring everyone out for a drink to celebrate my 21st!!!
I felt really honored!! We were chatting away, Me, Peter and Malcolm were talking about skiing for most of the evening, Peter then decided to get a second round in (i actually wanted to go home as i was knackered and wanted to see Kieron, but felt i had to stay as this was all organised for me!)
I finished my 2nd pint and decided to leave. I said goodbye to everyone and made way to catch the 50 bus to get home!
The rest of the week was quite dull, but finally the weekend arrived (about bloody time!).
Saturday, me and dad were going down to London as dad had bouht me tickets to 'The Phantom of the Opera' on stage! I was very excited, as i've always wanted to see it. We set off about 8.45 and were down in London for about 10.30. We awent and parked our car at Irene's flat. I haven't seen in in ages so we had a good catch up. She made us a cuppa and some toast, but before we knew it it was now 11.30. Me and dad had to get our skates on!
We went down to Richmond trai station and made our way to Covent Gardens. We had a good look round all of the christmas stuff, and there is always acts and small street performances going on there. We spent about an hour there, but then had to start making our way over to Regent Street, in time to see the show at 2.30pm.
It didn't take very long to walk over, and arrived at Her Majesty's Theatre for 2pm. We went inside to collect the tickets. Dad gave the Cockney lad behind the desk his name, but there were no tickets!! Uh-Oh!
The lad phoned his manager to ask of the situation, at this point dad was about to loose his temper when the lad found them! Dad had booked the tickets online at Theatre.Com. Instead of the tickects being under "E" for 'Evans' it was under 'T' for Theatre.com!!!!
We quickly got a programme and headed to our seats. We were fairly high-up but in the middle so we had a good view of the stage!
The show went on for about 3 hours, and i recommend anyone who likes the theatre to go and see it! The costumes, the music and all of the props were excellent!
We got out of the theatre for just go 5.30 and we decided to take a awonder up Regent Street to look at the Christmas lights as it is well known for it! However, it was probably the worst decision to make as it was absolutley packed! It was like Broad Street except 10 times more people!!!
We then decided we were both feeling hungry, and headed towards the nearest underground station and headed off back to Richmond. We met up with Irene at about 7pm in the White Swan where she had already got a round in! After finishing our drinks we set off up the road to find a nice Italian Restaurant. We went into Ziggy's, a waitress kindly told us that the next available table would be in about 30mins and if we left a number they would ring us to let us know when the table was ready!!!! Now that's service!
Irene left the girl her mobile number and popped over the road for another drink. After 10mins the waitress from the restaurant rang to say the table was ready. We dashed over and quickly ordered as we were all hungry!
Irene had Tiger Prawns, Dad had meatballs and I had penne pasta with a creamy sauce with onion, bacon and chicken chopped in, the food was really nice!!
We had a coffee, and then finally heaed back to Irene's flat. We said goodbye and headed off home for Brum!
That was my final Birthday activity, and i'm very grateful for all the prezzies and gifts i have received!!
See you all soon bloggers xxx

Birthday Bonanza!!!!

Hello there readers, i am indeed officially 21!!!!!!

Wow i'm so old!
and also .......
*Big Exciting News*
Me and Kieron are engaged!!!!! I am very excited about it but i'm also very happy!

How the past week has developed......

Monday 13th was my birthday and i decided i wanted to see as many of my family as i could (seen as though it was a special birthday!)

Mum came and woke me at about 8.15 as she wanted me to open a few cards so Gaz could be there too. Gaz went off to work so I decided to quickly have a shower and then me and mum set off. We went over to nan & grandad's, they thought i would be too busy to see them so they were really happy when i arrived.

Grandad opened a bottle of wine (at 10 in the morning!!) and we had a little celebration. We left about 11 and headed off back to see my other nan. When i arrived she was playing the scissor sisters "don't feel like dancing"and was parading around the living room. We had a cup of tea and told her what prezzies i had so far. Time was ticking on and it was nearly 1pm!!!!!

Me and mum headed home, but my day didn't stop there! Dad came round to take me out. We went to Frankie & Benny's over at Rubery for some lunch (which was very tasty) and then for a laugh we had a quick game of bowling (the girl put us on lane 21!!!) it was coming up to 4pm and I had to go home to get ready to go out later with Kieron.

I was going to the NIA to see the scissor sisters, and i was getting very excited!!! I got to Kie's for about 6.00 and he was quickly having something to eat before we set off into town. The car parks around the NIA we really busy and i thought we would never get parked, but with Kieron's excellent driving (and a little bit of frustration) we found a place!

We were in the standing area and decided to get a drink before we went in. There were already quite a few people there (all trying to get to the front) but we found a great place (thanks to Kie) about 6 rows from the front and slightly to the left, it was great!! Also there that night was Becky and her cousin Laura, Becky rang me to see where i was standing i tried to guide her as best as possible, but within 2 minutes she had found me!!

The support band "Gossip" came one, the singer looked liked Kelly Osborne, the bass player looked like he had been malnurished his entire life and the drummer I couldn't decided if it was a bloke going through a sex change, or a lesbian!!!!!! Anyway they were crap and my legs started to ache!

After "Gossip" had left the stage, we had to wait for the stage to be altered a bit. Finally the Scissor Sisters came on the stage and the Brummie crown went wild. Jake and Ana Matronic got the crowd really pumping and it was such a great atmosphere. They did most of the songs off their new album but did the classics from the first.

After 1 and 1/2 hours their gig had come to an end, but our journey back to the car hadn't. It was manic trying to get out of the arena. Some woman kept trying to push me out of the door quicker but there was nowhere to go. Kieron held my hand to try and get us out but the same pushy woman barged through. I lost Kieron for about 5 minutes but he managed to find me!

Tuesday and Wednesday i was back at work as normal - Boring!
*****************************
Thursday -AHA! I had the day off again to help mum to collect the food for my party. Hehehe! We did really well we got all of the food (catering for about 70 people) for about £80! (tesco every little really does help!)

My nan had previously said that if we needed any help we could ask her! So we dropped off the bread rolls for her to butter.

We unloaded the rest of the shopping at home and then decided what could be cooked that night and what should be cooked friday!

Kieron came round mine in the evening and we watched Transformers (as my brother had bought the 2nd series on DVD!)
*****************************

Friday morning - Party Day and i was awoken by mum as Kieron was on the phone for me. He had had a note put through his door to say my "ring" had arrived and i had to pick it up at Moseley Parcel Depot. We ordered my ring off the internet because the shops we had looked at had nothing i liked!!!
I drove straight over to Moseley and rushed up to the counter to get it. I was so happy when i opened the box. It's 9ct white gold with 14 diamonds (1/4 carat diamond if they were put together!)
I phoned Kieron and told him how lovely it looked (to be honest i almosted cried!!!)
I got home and showed mum she was happy for me. Unfortunately i couldn't celebrate for long as there were so many things to do, like the food. Mum had already got the oven on the go with different trays all cooking, the microwave was on, the kettle boiling - it was madness.
I started to take over with the cooking, and to be honest i thought i did a bloody good job aswell!!! 2pm arrived and we had finished. All the food was covered and ready to go. We loaded it all into my car and we headed off to nans to get the breadrolls.
We set off to the Red Lion and lay all the trays and dishes out onto the tables. We then whizzed back off to collect the balloons.
As we arrived back at the pub nan & grandad turned up with my cake! Grandad helped me with the balloons whilst mum and nan were organising the layout of the buffett!
It was 5pm!!! Me and mum shot off to start getting ready (i was very excited!), the time was flying by and before i knew it Kieron had arrived (i hadn't got my dress on!)
6.30pm and the taxi pulled up. After giving the driver detailed directions of how to get to the Red Lion, we arrived. Dad and nan were already there along with Gill & Alf. I went and introduced myself to the DJ for the evening as everyone started to arrive. By about 8.30 the room was nicely filled with all my friends and family!
I had a great time, everyone sang happy birthday and by about 12am everyone started to leave.
Me & Kie got home for about 12.45 and i went straight to bed!!
*****************************
Saturday was going to be another exciting evening as it was "Ladies Evening". Me and dad go every year, as dad is on the committee that helps organise it along with members of the skiing crew. But this year year was going to be different because Gareth was coming for the first time and we needed a mask!!
Gareth was taking Jenny as his guest, and we were at dads for 6.15 and the taxi arrived at 6.30. We got to the Chateux Impney in Droitwich for just gone 7. We greeted everbody in reception room and after about an hour, we were led into the dinner hall.
The evening was filled with lots of entertainment. We played a version of Deal or No Deal (which i won 50p), there was a best mask competition, a raffle and then the usual gag of the committee members doing their annual joke for the evening. This year the lads got dressed as 'The Tilla Girls' and came out wearing fishtights, leotards, and purple wigs and doind a little dance routine for us. It was hilarious (but also mentally scaring!).
The night went really well and i had as much fun as ever. Gareth really enjoyed it aswell and he will be joining us next year!!!

I do have loads of photos to blog of all the different things that have happened these past few weeks, so i promise that i will do a big photo blog!!!
See you soon peeps xxx

Disney On Ice!

Ice, Ice, Baby *Dumdumdum-diddy-dumdum*

Hello there readers, a bit of Vanilla Ice for you there!

Well this past week has been very exciting, last Friday (3rd Nov) i decided to take the day off work, so i could go and try and find a dress for m
y Birthday Party, which is now in a weeks time.
Me and mum got up fairly earlier and we went into Town, mum wanted to look in Selfridges (lord knows why!) and she started to look at dresses which were £200 and upwards,i quickly dragged her away and headed towards the usual shops. We went everywhere: West One, Next, Monsoon, Dorothy Perkins, BHS, Marks & Sparks, Oasis, Principles, Mandolin, New Look, Wallis and many many more. After about a good hour of looking round, we decided to get something to eat, i had already took note of the dresses i had seen and mum helped to choose. There was a dress in Wallis, and one in Oasis. They were both very nice but after much consideration i went for the one in Oasis
For those of you who want to view it here's the link!!!
Saturday night was excellent, Emily had organised to take me to see Disney On Ice. Emily, Jim, Rosey, Dan, Lindsey, Richard, Angi and Jen had all chipped in to pay for my ticket for my birthday pressie. It was sooooo cool. This year it was the Disney Princesses. We knew all the songs and we were laughing our socks off! firstly because the people who played Aladdin and Princess Jasmine had a few mishaps. Aladdin dropped Jasmine about 3 times (she was not happy!!) and the guy playing Prince Charming from Cinderella looked exactly like Richard. Afterwards as we were walking back to the train station me, Rosey and Lindsey were singing Disney songs, it was very funny!!!
It was a fantastic night and once again I thank everyone for coming and for taking me!!!
Sunday i woke up with a very sore throat, i ignored it and thought it was just from singing very loudly last night. However by about 1pm i knew i was wrong!! I had started to develop a cold *Dramatic Music!* By Sunday evening, i wasn't feeling brilliant and told Dad i wouldn't be at nan's.
Monday morning, I woke to get up for work but i still felt like crap and decided not to go in. I fell back to sleep and didn't awake untill the afternoon. Mum made me a cheese & branston pickle sarnie, but i couldn't taste anything!! Kieron came round mine on the night, we just watched TV.
I started to feel loads better during the week, as the week flew by it was Friday (again) and i had booked the day off. I had my haircut, which is looking very funky, i had a dentist appointment and i had to go to the Red Lion (where i am having my party!!) to pay the rest of the balance off! Me and mum had quite a nice day together driving round and doing things.
I got to the Red Lion and paid the last bit towards the room, the manageress took my payment and told me about the scheme the pub had recently joined. Apparantly all the pubs in Kings Heath have joined with the Police to try and stop underage drinking. Basically the Police can just walk into the pub or into the function room and I.D somebody and if that person is drinking and has no I.D on them then the Party can be stopped and the person gets fined!!!
I thought it was a bit drastic, but i'm taking no chances, i told Rosey and my good skiing pal Sophie, they both said they would pass the word round for me, which has saved me alot of hassle!
Friday night was good, me, Kie, Becky and Stu met up and went to an Indian restuarant up the road from Kieron's called 'Sweet Chillies'. It's really fab in there. Me and Becky shared a bottle of wine and the boys had pints. The meal was really nice, i had a chicken bhoona, Kieron had chicken and potato balti, becky had a chicken tikka masala, and Stu had this combo thing which looked really nice. We had a great time and after paying we all headed home 'cos i was tired!!!!
Saturday morning me and Kieron went into town as Kieronwanted a game for his 360. He bought Call of Duty 3 which he had heard was really good. I decided to go back home for a bit to see my nan & grandad, so Kieron went off to try his game.
I met up with Kieron a bit later, his 360 started to play up as it has stopped playing Call of Duty. We thought it might be a dodgy disc, i said i would go into town on my linch break on Tuesday to swap it.
That was pretty much it for my weekend, it's my birthday Monday, and i'm getting very excited!!!
See you all soon xxx
